 Just curious about something...

I read the ads on BP and many have the "disclaimer" stating something along the lines of this...
By contacting me you are not affiliated with law enforcement...    (see attached).

What I am wondering... How does this hold up in court if you were busted or does that disclaimer even mean anything.

Just curious is all or if anyone ever seeked some legal advise on that subject.

Just one of my random thoughts this Monday.

Not a provider, nor an attorney, and I don't portray one on TV either.
Here is the scoop from a legal standpoint from my
observations.

LE has a lot of latitude in that they are allowed to gasp! LIE and deceive potential offenders of the law. Think under cover drug busts too!

Hell, the feds have placed deep under cover agents into an organization, and the agent has
participated in the crimes, " purchasing drugs"
" Beating up individuals" and in some cases,
" Shooting an individual"

Think about those cities / states, where LE is
able to actually have sex with a provider, and then turn around and Bust the Offender / Actor.

Now apply the disclaimer to the mix, and see what
logic would likely apply in a court of law.

As far as I know, prior disclaimers are not binding in MN.
If you see a sign that says "We are not responsible..." it probably means nothing.
If you see a sign that says "No guns allowed..." it doesn't mean anything unless the law prohibits guns specifically.
But then again, I'm not a lawyer.

Nothing in that disclaimer has any affect on LE.  They are not bound by anything you say or anything they say.  They can and will lie cheat and provoke, and then they will bust you.  The disclaimer only confirms to them that the advertiser intends to offer illegal services.  All you have done is point a finger at yourself say come bust me.  In some cases the provider must offer or accept an offer to exchange services for $.  The truth is they do not even need that because they will lie about that also.  They will tell you that a friend of there's has seen you or they met you in the past and you were great and can they get XXX for $.  If you say yes you are busted.

Ladies please do not offer, infer or disclaim.  All you have done is bring trouble on yourself.  Offer a sensual massage with a wink and never relate service to $.  The guys you are looking for know how to sort out what is offered.  If any of the contacts asks you to make a specific deal insist that you do not offer and illegal services and get away.

If you insist on references and do not offer or disclaim LE look else ware because you are to smart, they will go to the girls who give themselves away by printing a disclaimer.

A disclaimer is just one more bit of evidence a prosecutor can show the jury and offers no more protection that a LE check does.
....I'm not doing anything illegal, that's why you need to promise me you aren't part of a law enforcement agency.....

If it did any good, everyone would be using it and no one except for complete newcomers would ever get busted.

Thanks all for the replies.

It is what I was thinking as well.   But I just found it interesting is all.

Good advice but I'd nit worry to much. Not many busts here; cops have bigger crime to deal with.
