How do we know it was a BA girl and what was her name?

END OF MESSAGE

Guess one of their provider was murdered in Seattle.  Search Seattle prostitute murder, the April 7th news.

What makes it even worse, is that she was linked to human trafficking. A rough life indeed.

But remember just because LE says trafficking is involved doesn't make it so.

...when engaging the services of a provider, is whether the lady in question is being exploited. If there's any doubt whatsoever, do the right thing and stay away. We can do a very good job of self regulating and starving the market for individuals who exploit vulnerable people.

It could be true that LE use the trafficking issue as an excuse for over zealous policing in instances where it's not happening. But it does happen and we should not be blind to that. If a review states that coercion exists or if the conditions are suspect, then why would someone else visit that person? I don't get that.

I won't see someone who I suspect is not doing this of her own free will but figuring that out is often not that easy.

...and ask, "why waste an intelligent response to a post started by Talon?". Maybe someday, with sufficient redemption, will a post by Talon be worthy of a serious response.  :(

Why carry bitterness into a thread that is about someone's death? There are ample opportunities outside of this thread.

yeah, really.

I am DEEPLY saddened for this woman's family.
They now have lost a daughter, a sister, and maybe even a mother.
Literally makes me cry to think about.
What a terrible, painful way to die too...being stabbed to death...

Thank you Talon for posting this.
Makes me appreciate the
screening process all the more.

****I edited this by changing ladies to woman's.   I was upset when I wrote it and forgot the proper grammar.

she was NOT involved in a trafficking case.  The was a previous investigation and bust of a trafficking case in the same building and different apartment.

A robber that leaves behind 1200 in cash?  The whole story has not come out on that one!

A brutal thing involving anyone!

I've always thought the BA girls were part of trafficking. That's why I never saw them. Not saying for sure but it doesn't take a genius to kind of see the signs. Girls brought in from different cities, never stayed in town that long, lackluster service in most cases. The rare occasion, one had good reviews, why would she leave town and go to a different one? If she was here on her own will, she would have probably stayed with the good reviews.

If you think trafficking is appalling, don't visit establishments that you even slightly think the girls aren't there on their own free will.

I've seen the BA's many many times. I am as certain as I can be that they have been here of their own volition.  The only pressure, if any, may have come from obligations in Thailand to support their family.

Some of these girls have moved on to start their own agency in S. CA.  Moving around is typical of agency girls in this business!

This has been discussed before and the consensus was they weren't being trafficed.

This agency is not into trafficking.  I have phone number of three providers, and even friends with one on fb. I know how they operate and how they split the 'donations'.  Most are just trying to provide for their family in Thailand, and one just finished build her dream house w/our donations.

I agree with 2late and talon that this agency is NOT involved with trafficking. Very sad about her death.

If anything, I'd say the other Asian agency in town would be my guess but I have no knowledge one way or the other about them.

Re the BA ladies, they all seem to be about family, both here and back home.

Just thought again about this re trafficking, what about some of those Eastern European agencies? Or the South/Central American girls? I think we all have certain biases and opinions formed based on our knowledge, experience, etc. and thus feel it's OK to see certain ladies but not others, whether that's fact or fantasy, correct or incorrect, who knows.

OTB, send me an email.  I've accidentally deleted your address.  I have some insight on this.

I think a lot of the Asian and Eastern European providers are trafficed women. Some may be better than others at pretending that their providing is not coerced. Rationalizing that they're making more money than they'd make at home and/or are supporting a family back home is a poor excuse to support trafficking.

With your line of thinking, how are any of us suppose to determine whether a gal is providing services of her own free will, or being coerced??  Any provider could just be "better than others at pretending"!

Those providers with their own sites would be less likely to fall into that category. Foreign providers associated by one source would have a higher probability and even higher if the rates are relatively low.

Good point.  For myself, I'm comfortable with the BA's as personal experience may be the best way to determine whether they are being coerced.

I "date" many of them, and by "date" I don't mean I pay them for sex, I mean actual "date" not to mention there are several Thai girls that I keep up with even when they go back to Thailand.

I also know many of these women who have found American husbands and are now here permanently and no longer "work" or at least no longer work in the sex industry. My experience/s are admittedly anecdotal in nature, but my sample size is significant, between Thai and Korean providers, I have gotten to know literally hundreds over a period of many years, "Outside" of a work environment and I can say with 100% certainty that NONE of them were trafficked.

It sounds like you've rationalized the whole thing for yourself at least.

Or have an apartment and a car? Or send home several thousand dollars a month back home? Or go shopping for thousands of dollars worth of "stuff" to send back to her family?

I have seen all of these things first hand, so I suppose your definition of "trafficked" is much different than mine? Or maybe, just maybe, you are a xenophobic racist, who thinks are foreigners, especially ones that don't look like you are "lesser creatures" so turning them into victims assuages your ego?  Nah, that couldn't possibly be the case, now could it?

No, quite the contrary, I'm attracted to Asian women and I'm sure that there are ones that provide without being coerced. There certainly are those in that category, however, and if they're referred to as "trafficked" or some other term, I try to take some due diligence to avoid.
