Wed and Thursday. What a waste of time and resources!
Drug and violence task force?

Be safe everyone!

So many resources wasted just to buy headlines and try to justify the existence of the task force. Stopping traffickers is a worthy mission but seldom are they the ones swept up in dragnet.

I imagine all these old bitties clutching their faux pearls from Kohl's thanking police for "saving" the community from those dangerous criminals .
Smh at this silly belief they have that they're saving anyone.
If anything, they're creating more desperate people. Desperate = Dangerous.

It NEVER occurs to these idiots that "We the People" of the hobby community might have the best insights for fighting trafficking and other non-consensual crap.

Do not blame republicans for this. I believe Amy Klobeshar and Al Franken are democrats.

Jer...I said republicrats as in both republicans AND democrats.  I dislike both parties.

I would really like to know how this went down.  Feel free to educate us.

Talon makes a great point.  If anyone had any balls they would educate us when they get caught in the dragnet.  Won't ever happen publicly on this board (and I understand the potential legal reasons but really if you cared about any of us you would...) but what a great idea.  A big stiff middle finger to the cops with active reviewer profiles (and aliases).  Your energy is so often misdirected and I guarantee you will all realized it at some point in your career.

Cops are charged with enforcing the law.  I would prefer that they spend their time doing other things, but it really isn't up to them.   Hobbyist's would always be well advised to avoid street or cheap motel venues.   Neighbors complaining about the nuisance is likely to drive enforcement actions.

I have never been arrested, but have spoken to several gals that have.  It is a humiliating experience.  You are an adult who is now under someone else's control about what you can and cannot do.  Getting a hobbyist to confess their experience here is rather pointless.  No one likes to get arrested and everyone is going to react a little differently

Police should focus on traffickers-- not consent.
Many of us would, if not afraid of prosecution, would give tips on those who are pimping minors, holding undocumented aliens, or using the sex economy as a cover for robbery or rape.
All this does is keep the consensual sex money flowing into organized crime (and away from taxation and social security) when it could go to uncoerced, independent adult self-employed service workers

I've been touring Duluth regularly for a couple years now & I'm elated to see I have never come into contact with any of  the people arrested. I do have an updated article complete with pics & names. I will be happy to email the link to anyone wanting it. I am not VIP. Email me at [email protected]

There is one thing I won't say I'm sorry about & that's that they did nab this guy...

"Among those arrested was XXXX, 42, who is expected to be charged with second–degree sex trafficking and first degree meth sales.
XXXX had 25 grams of methamphetamine, and $390 in counterfeit U.S. currency with him when he was arrested, according to authorities

they arrested a pimp with 25 grams of Meth.  YAY!!   The rest of the arrests were senseless, IMO.

1 piece of scum off the street (at least for a while) at the price of how many who had their lives trashed to enforce asinine laws against consenting adults.
