well, there are lots of places that sell Visa Gift Cards

Walgreens
Cub Foods
all do for sure.

those are just what comes to immediate mind...
I imagine CVS sells them too.
and gas stations like Holiday and SA maybe?  idk.

They can be used to purchase items online too but the lady has to call in and activate something for that feature.  I'm not sure exactly how that works, as I've never used one for an online purchase.   But they do work for that.

 
BUT, be sure to get the regular Non-reloadable Gift Cards  
and NOT the Reloadable or green-dot type of cards

Why don't more providers accept credit cards? I would think busines would be brisker? I know my hobby budget would be higher! I don't always have the available cash when the moment is right! Like today for instance I am short on cash but real Horny and have the day off. I would be with one of my favorites right now instead of writing this thread!

Not quite that simple and really none of your business but to answer your question anyway I only own  half of what's in the bank and the owner of the other half would have questions so it's easier to use my personal card and repaying it when I aquire my own fun money which comes in quite often but not always at the right time. Hence the reason for my original post!

To answer your question......I think many do not take them because after hearing accounts of providers getting their accounts shut down (by Square) it's not worth the risk.    That's why I don't take them.  For those that have had no issues, great.  But All it takes is "one time" and bam!

I have been following Portia discussions on the boards for the short time I've been hobbying and have been very intrigued. Have even discussed her with other gals I've seen in the hobby. ( which all have had wonderfull things to say about her) I have always been a little scared she would be way more than I could handle! I think it is time I confront my fears tho?

I've bought these at Holiday and Walgreens before, but I had to pay cash. They said they couldn't be bought with a credit card.

I had a friend give me a visa gift card the other day that they had bought at walmart that day.  The receipt showed that a credit card was used to pay for it.    

I guess it depends what type of gift card it is.  I do know the reloadable ones have to be be paid for in cash

I'm thinking that just about anyone would maybe be willing? Obviously with prior permission? Again cash is always king I'm sure but in my case I can see this option would get me to the promised land more often!
