The prov sites I've been reviewing all say something to the effect of "not required, but always appreciated." The reviews don't mention much about this. What is common among hobbyists in this area? And are these tips/gifts usually given at the beginning or end of an appt?

If you feel you had an excellent time and its a lady you would like to see over and over again, a tip at the end will only help your next visit. If you are going to give a tip, you should prob. do it at the end of the session...obviously, you wont know if you like the service until the end anyway. If you want to give a gift (perfume, gift card, wine, etc.) I think its much better to give those at the start of the session (like giving flowers to a lady at the start of a date). I would have to believe this gift would certainly make the lady much more into the session. Again, its your call, but I suggest giving tips and gifts to ladies you plan on seeing over again.
