I've seen some providers on BP with the same ad for years but they never have a review. Am I missing something?

Good question..
I've spent time with a few gentlemen over the last month.. All inquiries have been on bp..  
Yet I still have no review's..  

I'm thinking,  
There are many men who have no idea what ter is.. the gentlemen I saw had references and gave other information.. still no review.. Unfortunately..

But
There is a provider who thankfully stated she will vouch I am safe.. She is well respected..

If the provider you are referring to is in P-411 she can vouch for you there.  
You can contact Gina  and we what else you need but possibly more than one of the people you have seen is in P-411 can also vouch for you.  You can posts adds there also.  At the very least the P-411 can be addd to your backpage adds and add a little bit more credibility. Similar to a client being verified.

I know of two provider's who can vouch for me there..  
But last I checked Gina requested 2 review's from well established clients..  
Just a matter of waiting patiently..

That's the way the system works.  Even without reviews she is not out of line wanting references.  Like she said she has someone vouching for her and she has a website with pics and info.  A john has nothing if he doesn't have references.  Is there more potential danger seeing her, probably not.  Is there more danger seeing a john without references that is bigger and stronger than she is.  I think so.  Surely you see the difference.

but BECAUSE of that reason, not in spite of it, there is absolutely EVERY reason in the world for a new provider to want to be safe. Just like a new hobbyist should only see "well reviewed" providers despite having very few if any references of his own, so should a new provider ONLY see guys with impeccable references until she learns enough to use a little nuance in her screening methods.

It is the same for both parties, ESPECIALLY newbies, whether they are hobbyists or providers, when in doubt, err on the side of caution. A few hurt feelings can always be overcome, jail, injury or even death cannot be so easily made right with an "I'm sorry"

You've been watching... Why not TOFTT and write a review? :) Or call and ask if they she has any reviews ;)

Not to get into he said/ she said but if you look at my reviews, I'm TOFTT on 50% of my reviews (there are a few providers I saw before a review was posted but I still consider that TOFTT).

Only reason I'm asking is there are a few I would like to see but I'm nervous as to why they have been on BP for 2-3 years and no reviews.

Those you speak of are the ads the rest of us skip over on BP without a thought.  If you want to TOFTT as you like to do please report back.  Without any specifics on which ads you are inquiring about there probably isn't much more any of us can comment about.  Good luck!

Some not original thoughts: move on...pass...skip...do NOT see...
Find someone else...who maybe has been on BP for 2-3 years WITH reviews.
Better yet, to heck with BP...search here on TER for what you want. Look at THOSE ladies' pictures and see them.
Write a glowing (hopefully) review of her...about how great she looked, how great her services were, how they were exactly what you wanted since you searched on TER and skipped BP completely, how safe and discreet she was, how you didn't have to worry about bait and switch girls, how you didn't have to worry about the girls who grab the money and run, how you don't have to worry about her big black (or white, brown, yellow, orange, red blue, green, or purple) pimp or thug...are you getting the picture?

Or you could just TOFTT with this girl who you are obviously infatuated with!

Me? I'll pass on her.

For myself, I go by a provider's menu and not so much the reviews as many of them read as if the client is trying out for a job as an erotic novelist.  Plus, sometimes the review is not truthful or blown out of proportion.

and have a good enough clientele they do not need reviews or TER.  Some do it very part time and 1 or 2 good clients is all they need/want.  They usually do not advertise on bp either.  There are those ones that were around before the internet and thus don't need it, they have their private ways to grow their biz.  I met one young lady that learned from a lady from back in the day and loves not having to be in the public eye.

For those that started with the internet and social media, that is all they know, and they know it well.

When I first started, like most, I used backpage almost exclusively because I didnt know any better. And, at first, I found it hard to get reviews here on TER. A lot of guys who frequent bp- at least back then- didn't even know or use TER, so at first it didn't hinder my business to not have reviews. But, after I learned more about the business, I found it to be very important to have reviews here.

Many girls don't have reviews because they are not legitimate. And of course, this is not the case all the time, but it is often enough that I would recommend not seeing ladies that don't have reviews. Now, you can always contact the ladies and see if they have reviews on other sites, because they do exist and in general are a bit easier to get reviewed on when you are new. OR, you can look at the ads on TER and use that as your directory instead of BP.  

Every girl has to start out somewhere, so if it is a new lady without reviews that is quite understandable. But, if she has been posting for more than a few months and doesn't have any reviews, that is a red flag to me.  

You can always contact her and ask if there is a reason she doesn't have reviews. There are a few ladies here and there that ask to NOT get reviewed. We all have our own way of doing business, and the beauty of doing this is that you get to make all your own rules and run things exactly how you want to. You will never know unless you ask.
