Read an individual review in context with the overall body of work that is contained in the providers other reviews.  Obviously if there is little history then this will not work but if there are many reviews for a lady then the outliers will usually be readily identified.  Actually in these cases, whether they are false or not should not matter for the most part as they represent sessions that are far from the norm and not what you should expect.

Also check on the reviewers history.  Are there many?  Are they all low or all high?  Do many stand out in relation to other reviews about the same provider?

Hope this helps...

Having spent some time on this site reading a lot of reviews, and having seen some of the providers, I have learned (not surprisingly) that some reviews are more reliable than others.  Sometimes, I am sure, it is just a difference in taste, but there is no question in my mind that there are folks who are submitting deliberately false reviews -- both false positives that rave about a provider who is really pretty terrible, and false negatives that slam a provider who is really pretty good.

I am curious how more experienced hobbyists spot the bogus review.  I noted, for example, that even some hobbyists who have posted several reviews have done so in ways that look highly suspcious to me (e.g., using "cookie cutter" language to describe different providers at the same agency).

Also, is there a way to check not reviews for an individual provider, but for an agency?  The providers move around and change names all the time anyway, but if an agency is ripping people off at all, it probably should be exposed so we can all know to avoid it.    The "rip off" list on TER for my area is very, very short, and that's too bad, because in my very short experience there are definitely some agencies that should be driven out of business.

Hearing from experienced members (both hobbyists and providers) would be greatly appreciated.

Not surprisingly, many of the "fake-review" traits are not openly discussed, so as to not give away helpful info to those who might practice the black art.  That intel is usually reserved for backchannel communications between trusted reviewers.

Typically, there are three types of fake reviews:

1. false-negatives written by a disgruntled customer or the competition.

2. false-positives written by the provider herself, an overzealous customer, or her boyfriend/handler/agency/pimp/whatever.

3. false-positives written by hobbyists to gain free VIP status.

Although false-negative reviews do exist, they are much less common that false-positives.  People who write fake reviews for VIP credit usually do not write negative reviews, as they tend to draw more attention from the reviewed lady herself.

To report a suspected fake review, either submit a problem report while viewing the review profile, or email [email protected] with the details of why you believe it is fake, along with the provider ID and her TER username (if known). Sometimes notifying your local board moderator may help, sometimes not.

To answer your last question, you can usually pull up multiple reviews for an agency by searching on the phone number(s).

Just one point from me...it is difficult to come up with different ways to say the same things.

I sometimes labor over my reviews to make them each unique and not sound "cookie cutter", but how many ways can you say "she sucked my dick" or "she was a nice piece of ass" or "then my finger got stuck in her..." Well...you get the idea.

Yes we should all strive to write great reviews and be unique with every one, but you only have one review and I am only at 20, think about Jeopcon1 with his nearly 400 reviews...could you be unique and interesting 400 times?

I am looking forward to finding out, but I have the feeling I can't.

What one lady may do with you, she may not do with another client - her website may proclaim CBJ only, but you hit it off with her, the chemistry is there and lo and behold, BBBJ/CIM is on the menu - keep that between you and her.

To be sure, there is an issue of taste, and what you reference - YMMV.  But I saw a provider who was described as "hot" who was "not" -- I am talking seriously fat and zits everywhere.  That's not a question of taste.  Someone is suffering from a delusion.  The reviewer has written many, many reviews, and they are all over the map.  I would have thought the review was genuine, but it was either a hoax, or the reviewer is out of his mind.  Maybe it was the latter in this instance, but I really think this review was a hoax.

Unfortunately, there are a few guys here who see themselves as talent scouts, and overestimate their importance in the hobby.  They'll try to convince providers that a first review by him, or his endorsement if she already has reviews, can make or break her career.  They will also tell new providers that this help deserves a deep discount, or even a freebie, for what they can do for her with a great review.  Of course, if a discount isn't available, he'll review her anyway, but not nearly as favorably.

This is how I would explain some "joe" who likes to write great first reviews of ladies that never seem to click with anyone else, or somehow always says that his time with established providers is average at best.

Sounds like you learned the had way, but it is a valuable lesson - look at the author of the reviews, not just the reviews!!!

I recently VIPed up during the holiday special and started checking a lady that I was interested in seeing. She had 4 pages of very good reviews almost all 8-9s or 9-9s. When I checked reviewers there wre only 4 reviews that the reviewers had more than 1 review, and these 4 reviews were all in the 6-7 scoring. Smells like there is something fishy here, and it is not my fingers!
