That sucks

Sorry that happened to you. I'm pretty sure this has happened to pretty much everyone in the hobby. I know it sucks driving a long way and waiting at some random location and not hearing anything back from a provider. Then having to make that the angry drive home and wished you would have just stayed home. The only thing I can say is you have to remember providers work schedule aren't the greatest most likely unknown unless they have regulars that pre book. I'm not saying what she did was wrong but I'm guessing she could have really fell asleep. Unless she has multiply case with no show or no response I'm guessing it could be an honest mistake. I doubt any providers get off on doing this to clients. I'm sure she didn't do it on purpose why go through txt or phone calls and arrange a meeting and not do her part I guess.

Again sorry that it happened.

I made plans to meet in Ft. Myers with Aaliyah Hadid TER ID: 295758. She is advertising with the name Aaliyah and phone number of 336-717-1365. I was aware that she had two bad reviews, others were excellent, but she explained the bad ones were from her Chicago agency that was unhappy that she went independent.

After driving appx an hour to see her, I texted her multiple times at her hotel without any response. After 35 minutes I left.

I sent her a text telling her that she made an unwise business decision as I am a member of p411 and TER and that she could have had a nice review.

Three and a half hours later, she texted me that she had fallen asleep. She made no apology and no offer of making things right.

Make plans at your own risk. Be prepared for a NCNS

Unless you are throwing your hat into the competition for BSU, PLEASE try not to defend the indefensible.

Kudos to the OP for naming names. Naming names warns and benefits the community, not naming names is nothing more than useless whining.

I too am sorry this happened to the OP, but his post and a noticeable drop off in her business because of her rather cavalier attitude about wasting his time, "might" discourage her from doing this to the next guy.

I have never called out a provider for a cancellation. I am mindful that cancellation is a reciprocal issue in the hobby.

I give the benefit of the doubt whenever I have received cancellations. This time I did not because my instincts, which admittedly could be wrong, didn’t believe her.

I was irritated that she expressed no remorse and made no offer to make it up to me, as has been offered in the past.

I value the information, both good and bad, from p411 and TER to help ensure safety, discretion, professionalism, and activity compatibility.

I initiated this thread for informational reasons and for venting. Perhaps it will encourage her and others, both providers and hobbyists, to respect others’ time and money

You did exactly that.

Who knows, maybe between the bad reviews and your "warning" she will finally get the message.

If not, at least you tried.

We've all probably heard excuses, and most of us have probably made them. Apologizing and trying to make things right when plans go haywire is paramount.

I must add that the OP is a bigger risk-taker than I am. Nothing she could have said would have gotten me to overlook those two awful reviews among such a small sample. With so many options out there, I would try to avoid the clearly heightened risk of a very bad experience.

I've had this sort of thing happen to me (sudden migraine, flat tire, bad news, phone died/bad cell service within hotel, etc).  Each time, the lady apologized and promised to make it up to me somehow (time and/or discount).  In each case, I was very happy I didn't write that person off, and they appreciated that I understood that shit happens sometimes.

But to not communicate later is just rude.  Shit DOES happen, but as long as everyone uses common sense and communicates, all can be forgiven

Providers hate no call no shows. The same respect and understanding would not be acceptable the other way around in most cases. If she was expecting you, then she's gotta to some degree realize she needs to be alert and available for her appointment. Plus if she was that tired, then what type of date would be have been being that sluggish to where she just passed out. I guess if that is a brighter side of the experience that you could've also wasted not only your time and miles, but also your donation to a girl who's stayed up way past her bedtime to give you the experience you were hoping for.

I can relate. A few months ago I drove 45 minutes away. She texted me a few times while I was on the way asking "how far are you?" you on the way?" "still coming?" I had to tell her the estimated time according to my GPS to get her to understand. When I arrived in also got no answer or response to text. After 30 minutes I left. Got a text 15 minutes later also not offering to make it up but offering an excuse that her hotel needed to do something with her room. And her phone died. I was not in the mood for that excuse so I just replied that I had already left.

Did you have a plan B...

I know people don't especially providers don't like to talk about  being someone's plan B.

Considering the young lady was shifty from the start....

I had a plan C. :) I ended up in an AMP.

I got a nice apology with an apparent eagerness to see me after a three day delay in replying to my P411 inquiry. Granted not getting a reply is not nearly in the same league as a NCNS but I have to say the apology made all the difference.
