Great view and fair food at the Six Seven at the Edgewater.

Second Canlis as a great choice for a slow indulgent meal.

Surprised no one said the Pink Door, especially during the Saturday Burlesque show.

Barolo 7th and Westlake they have an awesome HH from 10pm to midnight. This place is swanky.
Cactus on Alki- Great food, view and service
Cliff house in Tacoma- A client/friend took me there once and he stole my heart. :

I love Barolo, Dahlia Lounge ,and Cafe Juanita!

less pricey, yet very nice atmosphere, and really good food...The Daily Grill, and really good food for a Sports Bar type environment...The Rock Bottom Brewery.

4th avenue and Virginia. For that matter, I really haven't been to a Tom Douglas restaurant that I didn't enjoy. Cuoco is good for Italian cuisine.

OK, here are a few that didn't get a mention above.

But first, my opinion of Lola and Dahlia...Lola has a nice noisy hip vibe but has recently been less stellar in their preparations. It used to be more exciting, though their doughnuts-in-a-bag are still very fun.

Dahlia is a bit dowdy, the interior decor which used to be exciting needs updating, IMO. Food is fine. Just fine.

For my money (well, my date's money, let's be honest) I would try RN74 right downtown for a fun hip bar scene. Their food is a bit pricey, but delicious! For sure have the deep-fried mushrooms there.  Thumb's up for Barolo, something for everyone and a no-rush lovely environment. Great preparations.

But no one has mentioned Canlis, which, for a date night is numero uno in my book. Hard to get in to, tho, for a last minute meal. Very chill, romantic view for the out of towner guys, and impeccable service. You will not see a cellphone being used at the table here. Dress code also lends a grown-up vibe. New chef who looks promising though I haven't yet had the pleasure.

Back downtown, the Goldfinch Tavern is fun, limited menu but great delicious food. Do not be misled by the name,  it has an upscale vibe.

Hope that helps too. Happy dating!! Oh, and if you are on your own and want a bit of healthy sushi, try Nijo Sushi
