yes London you may notice I took all your advice very seriously....I still have a hell of a time getting new guys to submit to screening...I feel pretty much like not having any new guys in the Chicago area! It's just too risky! I have a career that will be destroyed if I get arrested. I would be forced to continue escorting because I wouldn't be able to work at my other job. When I see the fines for prostitution I could never pay that much money in fines! 2700 in Seattle! How could this even be! It's like legalizing cannabis...wouldn't it make more sense to regulate and tax sex workers than tie up police manpower and courts with these people who are of legal age and entering into this agreement on their own freewill? This country is so uptight sexually! I love how my 15 yr old can bring up porn hub videos to show me COF shots but two consenting adults can't enter into a financial agreement for dating. Ugh! Done with my rant. Thanks for reading. Btw don't contact me unless you are ready to be screened! Go London!

Arlington Heights police charge 14 men in national prostitution sting
Chicago Tribune

Joining forces with a nationwide law enforcement prostitution sting initiative, Arlington Heights police have charged 14 men with solicitation of a sexual act.

As one of 38 law enforcement agencies throughout 15 states that participated in the recent "National Johns Suppression Initiative," a nationwide crackdown on the demand for purchased sex, Arlington Heights police ran two sting operations at a hotel in the area of Arlington Heights Road and Algonquin Road that resulted in the arrest of 14 men, all of whom were charged with solicitation of a sexual act, Arlington Heights Police Cmdr. Nathan Hayes said.

"We always set goals and have initiatives to combat prostitution activity, which is something we take very seriously, and work on all year-round in Arlington Heights," Hayes said.

While Hayes declined to identify the hotel where the 14 arrests were made, he said the sting involved police placing an ad on classified website Backpage.com, and designating a local hotel as a meeting place.

When the offenders arrived at the hotel room, police officers were awaiting, including a female officer acting as the decoy, with the department making five arrests on July 6, and nine arrests on July 28, Hayes said.

"The hotels in town partner with us and work with the police department to combat the problem, because they don't want this kind of thing taking place at their businesses," Hayes said.

According to a statement from the Cook County Sheriff's Office, more than 1,300 sex buyers – what officials say is a record – were arrested across 18 states in this summer's initiative, which was conducted by a national coalition of law enforcement agencies, with local participants including the Cook and Lake county sheriff's offices, as well as suburban agencies including the Arlington Heights, Lansing, Matteson and Broadview police departments.

The recent sting operation, which ran from July 1 to Aug. 7, also led law enforcement agencies across the U.S. to recover 32 underage girls who were lured into human trafficking, and to make 71 human trafficking arrests, officials said.

As launched by Cook County Sheriff Thomas Dart in 2011 to highlight the role of sex buyers – or "johns" – as perpetrators in a violent and exploitative industry, officials said the initiative has thus far resulted in the arrest of more than 5,800 offenders by more than 70 arresting agencies across 22 states.

In Arlington Heights, Hayes said the department's primary goal is getting ahead of the problem by deterring would-be offenders from answering ads for solicitation of sexual acts by alerting them that doing so is a crime.

"We want people to know that when they are responding to these ads, there might be police on the other side of that door," Hayes said.

It's an easy way for LE to get some publicity at the expense of a few poor schmucks. They'll never get serious about combatting prostitution as long as BP provides such easy marks. Which is a good thing, except to those clueless guys who do get arrested.

The thing about BP is that if you don't get abused by the cops you're likely to get abused by the girls. Don't use it.

...it's just about being smart.

Cops don't screen. Girls that are going to rob you or have someone else rob you don't screen. Why? Because a cop will get your info when they're writing your citation for solicitation, and a girl who's going to rob you or have someone else rob you is more interested in your money than her own safety.

So just be smart. See girls that screen.

By providing an easy target for LE, it takes the heat off well-reviewed providers and judicious hobbyists.  I won't touch BP with a 100-foot pole for that very reason.  Let it continue fulfilling its rightful role.

Oh, and that Red Roof Inn is bad news, and not just for reasons we'd worry about.  It's in one of the sketchiest areas of Arlington Heights.  I saw LE cars in their parking lot on multiple occasions.

Alot of girls from ter run ads on backpage its doing your homework and matching the telephone number from ter with the back page ad.

Yes that's true. I found a couple girls there when I first started in the hobby. It's a lot of work though, inspecting all those ads to find those few inexpensive providers who will actually give you some (not all) of the basics and not rip you off. Please.

I will disagree that inexpensive girls only do advertising on BP. There are many traveling girls that advertise when they come though town. But yes they are under 5hr over that no.

Of course these are the men that refuse to be screened and know nothing of TER or any other forums or verification sites. Why is it so hard to understand? You don't want a girl who doesn't screen! LE makes it easy for you to come because they want to arrest you! I post on BP and it's literally insane how guys respond to having to be screened. You would think guys would research online a little bit before they start calling or emailing girls from BP. It's so easy to get verified! I've done it on several websites. I feel like these men are very impulsive and not thinking with their brains.

I'm going to play devil's advocate here, and give those guys a pass for being new.  When I was first getting started in the hobby, I also balked at the idea of getting verified.  Why?   Like many newbies, I feared the provider on a certain level (imagine that!), rather than other people who could "intervene" (LE, hotel front desk, nosy neighbors).  So perhaps those newbies fear the provider too, so they're reluctant to give out the screening information.  Perhaps they worry about loss of anonymity, considering they're doing something controversial, along with lack of trust in the hobby community in general.  I know I had that fear, only I got over it.  What helped me is that the agency I did my first appointment with persuaded me to join RS2K (now RS-AVS, apparently).  And the rest is history. :)

That said, cluelessness is no excuse.  If by getting busted by LE, those newbies take the heat off the rest of us, might as well enjoy the shielding effect they have, while shaking our collective head.

I also minimize my own risk by hobbying primarily in the city, along with other precautions that have become second nature to me.  One, Chicago LE generally have bigger fish to fry than looking for innocent pleasure-seekers to bust.  In fact, it's one of the reasons why Israel chose to make the hobby legal; it lets their LE focus on *real* enemies of society.  Two, using public transit is a lot safer discretion-wise than driving my own car, and thus have it get impounded.  Plus I get to enjoy a post-appointment beer this way.

Vice actively and aggressively pursues sexworkers of all kinds, especially higher end girls who tour or have incall locations in the city. Many women have been busted, including several from this forum. Nobody talks about it because they don't want to spook clients or feel ashamed. Getting busted is nothing about which to be ashamed. I hope every woman knows that.  The crime stats for the city are easily accessible online.

ETA: I just checked the crime database. They seem to have slowed down a bit which warms my cold and old bitter little heart.

I'm aware that Chicago LE has more money to spend on its vice goons.  But given the size of the city, one hobbyist like me can simply hide in a proverbial crowd, especially considering that I don't go for the BP bait that LE sets up.  For the most part, I only visit providers that I spoke to personally at M&G's.  So that gives me peace of mind, illusion nonewithstanding.

However, the main reason why I hobby in the city is the lack of hotel and apartment parking lots that provide hiding places for LE.  (On the street, they're more visible and easier to avoid, even in unmarked cars.)  Entrances open directly onto the streets, given that many buildings were constructed before the age of the automobile.  That, combined with the much higher foot traffic than in the suburbs, lets me blend in and act like I belong.  Plus, like I said, I can enjoy a post-appointment beer that way; can't do that when you gotta drive your car home.

Screening is key.   It must be very difficult for new providers with no reviews or reviews from "new" members only.

I was there that night working at the red roof inn. The police stopped one of my regular clients from seeing me. They actually told him to go home instead of arresting him. After that I didn't see anyone else it was too risky.

Provider Friendly.  The cops sit across the street at the Denny's and watch the rooms, traffic to any 1 of them and they run over.  The front desk people like to watch too since the rooms are open to outside.

If you are on a budget to that extent I can make suggestions in that area but the Red Roof has been a bad idea for a long time now....

Busts happen and they always have...to others.  Just be safe gentlemen and ladies!
My perspective is I sleep easy and restful if I say no, a whole lot. :-)
Just say No!  Especially if you have no fucking idea who the person on the other side of the door is.
Literally.  Know your plan before you find yourself without one.
Love,
Tiff

Too many variables when a Provider books at a hotel.   More and more hotels are worried about their reputations and employees and hotel managers are likely to report "suspicious" activity to LE.  As recently as two weeks ago a Provider mentioned she tips all the housekeepers heavy and some hotel personnel when she does her incalls.  Guess that doesn't call too much attention to herself...

I travel for my work and usually stay at high activity business hotels.  I.e. Embassy Suites etc...it's just easier and less stressful for me to have my Provider of choice come to my suite. I always ask them to dress business casual and I've never had even a remote problem.  It's worth the extra $ for that peace of mind and ability to focus on the Provider and I having a good time together.

Stay the hell out of those areas and screen your booty off! Wish I had more reviews... Now i feel bad coming up here like a babe

The people that get arrested don't do their research.I've been posting on bp for a year now.No problems.Do your research and you will not have problems.Promise

If you don't feel safe seeing new clients, but still want the benefit of doing so, attending a meet & greet helps.  All M&G attendees are already pre-screened.  (Now, if they choose to schedule with you, they'll need screening again, but they know the process and won't give you any pushback.)  That's how I find new providers now, because I'm afraid to answer ads of ladies I don't know, although I've taken the plunge once or twice.  You'd just be on the other side of the equation.  Visit the M&G board for listings.

Consensual adults going about their private business is one thing.  But I read above that they picked up 32 under age girls and made over 70 arrests for human trafficking. They sent one guy home, and ignored some other activities it seems to me they probably were aware of at the same time, same place.  I'd like to see the ad that attracted the attention ... my guess ... very cheap and very young.  I'm OK catching bad guys.

I use bp to advertise also.
