How long would depend on your flexibility in life and your relationship with the woman in question (apparently none prior here).

On occasion I have waited for a provider, on a few occasions they have waited for me (sometimes traffic/parking can be a killer even when a large time margin has been planned). Things have usually worked out all around.

A decade ago, I would booke early day appointments with a very well reviewed provider with TBD knowing in advance that there was no guarantee she would choose to work that day even though on the schedule. I spent several hours across a few months waiting only to leave without seeing her. Eventually it paid off and I did finally see her for some wonderful times. Was the time spent worth it? I certainly thought so at the time, still do.

On a recent trip into Boston, woman texted could I come 1/2 hour later since she was running late. No problem. the 8 to 10 visit started at 8:30 or so not sure exact time, who cares, it ended at 4 the next morning.

Sometimes providers (and clients) can take a little longer to get ready but how much is acceptable?
I had a late afternoon aptt with a woman who had good reviews but many of them commented she was late. She was very responsive to texts during the day to set up the date. Since I was commuting about an hour to back bay I wanted to make sure she was going to be close to being on time so I texted her when I was leaving letting her know and may be a little early - no response. I texted 10 before our date to let her know I was there but knew I was early so no worries - no response.  I texted her at the time of the date no response. Ten minutes after our scheduled time I get a "did you make it in" text which I responded to.  Ten minutes later I get a "I am on an important call with a relative can you give me 10 minutes which would have been at least 30 minutes late. I did not want to get caught in rush hour traffic so I left but asked her to call me. When I explained to her I wasted 2 hours commuting, and a half hour hanging out with bus waiting people and $25 on parking she was indifferent and very surprised I left and did not wait for her???
WHAT IS YOUR OPINION ON THIS???

So you should have left, you should also drop her name, since she is well known for doing this. Let other guys know who it is.

What I don't understand is if she texted you asking if you were there, why didn't she just text you the room #, instead she makes you wait another 20 minutes. That's just wrong.

Now I know some provider will come out and say you were wrong to leave, You should have given her the benefit of the doubt and hung around and still go thru with the appointment.

But don't forget if it was you who was late and the provider was complaining about it, they would want you blacklisted as a time waster.

This applies to both providers and hobbyist

Lets say her client before you was ten minutes late, and then stays ten minutes longer than the hour he'd scheduled. She doesn't want to just cut him off in the middle of things and rush him out the door (which would likely result in a bad review), so she's now twenty minutes behind schedule... Add in ten minutes to freshen up, reapply makeup, straighten up the room, etc, and now she's thirty minutes late... Is it really her fault? Is it right that she should lose another appointment because someone else didn't leave when they were supposed to, and she didn't want to risk a bad review by telling them they need to leave?

Many times being late isn't really something the provider can control. I've had times I've left an hour between appointments, and still ended up being late because of things like that. You don't want us to be "clock watchers", but at the same time you expect us to always be on time. You can't have it both ways. Or do you expect us to watch the clock with everyone except you?

This is one of the reasons I stopped offering incalls, way too much pressure on time.

You can't be serious. With due respect,  If she's booking back to back appointments, then she is inviting trouble. I'd be very uncomfortable seeing a provider who does not keep some "buffer time" between her appointments. Also, I have seen many providers post here that punctuality is of utmost importance for them and they won't tolerate a delay like this from the hobbyist end. It goes both ways, doesn't it?

To the OP, I agree with Erin. You waited 20 minutes too long. I've had only once instance where the provider delayed me. But the delay was only for 4-5 minutes. If it's 30 minutes as in your case, I would leave too.

If you want to help others name the provider.

Other than that you just wasted several peoples time.

Not to be harsh, but it seems to me you became a bit of a bother to her...

You simply could have confirmed the appointment either the before or early on the day of and then driven over. Once there, you announce your arrival by text. That works for me.

If you were in doubt of her punctuality and that is an important factor, then you shouldn't have booked her in the first place!

Just my dos centavos..

He was in contact with her that day. He traveled 2 hours to meet her. When he gets in touch with her she puts him in ice for 30 minutes. He did confirm with her . He needed to drive to see her so I'm sure he assumed she was with a date and he couldnt wait for her to be free because he would make it on time. Duh??
A few minutes I understand but after that is bullshit .
Tell us who she is do we don't make the same mistake

If the wait killed the karma you were right to leave.
The line about phone call kinda lame.
I probably would not have texted when you were leaving and saying you were going to be early.
You had a appointment time a text 10 min prior that you were there or expect to be on time is enough.
In the end when did a woman ever be on time and the reviews warned you so in the end a 30 min delay should not be that big a deal but every situation is different

Thanks for your varied opinions. She is a low volume provider based in the Carolina's here on a non related matter and she told me she has no plans to come back so others should not have this happen to them.

IMHO I have found that providers who don't care about being punctual don't care about customer satisfaction. I know I am generalizing but that's what I have experienced so I left and BAD was able to accommodate me quickly.

I will definitely stay in the burbs more but have found the visiting and highly rated girls tend toward the back bay!
