I take a 500 mg L-Arginine and a 50 mg Pycnogenol in the morning and again at night.

I've heard you can take up to 3000 mg or even 5000 mg L-Arginine each day but I'm only taking 1000 MG.

Those supplements have a lot of positive affects on the body other than just giving a man great wood.  There really is no down side to taking them.  But if also taking ED pills you would want to be careful about not getting too high of levels of Nitric Oxide.

With my BP meds (Lisinipril) leaving me with a "limp noodle," a lady that I've reviewed on TER suggested two herbs to help: L-argutine and pine bark extract.  She said that they work fast and work wonders.

Well, they are available at any drug store without a prescription, so I was game. I took the first a week ago.

The first change that I noticed: an open sore on my foot (pre diabetic perhaps) that had been treated for months by a wound center, has started to heal with the increased blood circulation.   The other is the limp noodle is no more!

Of course the herbs are much less in cost that the little blue pill and its cousins.

That was me that posted on that here in this forum a few weeks back.  Glad to hear it worked.  Look back a ways and you'll find my post.  You can also order them on amazon.

I do 500mg twice a day.  If you go back and find my original post it links to some studies that give dosages.  I think you can take up to 2k or 3k a day.

I don't have ED but I have really strong wood almost every morning when taking L-arginine.  Its supposed to help with blood sugar, weight loss, etc too.  Its natural to the body and something you need anyway.

The pycnogenol helps with the l-arginine being absorbed and makes you horny too.  :)

Any side effects ?  Thanks !

It can lower your blood pressure.  Other than that, none that I've noticed.  Unless you call major wood a side affect.  :)

Gee, after looking at alll the different ones and the prices could you share what price range or brand you are using of both.

Thanks,
Bordello69

I take 1000 mg three times a day.

I believe it was you CuriousSort that pointed me in that direction after I had a date where I couldn't rise to the occasion.  I read up on it and liked everything I read.  Like you said, no real negatives.  I never bought any and had a few dates where V worked fine but I had a date last week and boom, couldn't quite get hard enough again.  In spite of exercising, eating better and losing 30 pounds in the past 4 months.  When I left the hotel I went straight to GNC and bought a bottle of both.

I have yet to start taking it because of one negative review by a doctor who said plaque in your veins and arteries feeds on NO and taking these give it the juice it needs to get worse.  I got two coronary stents 10 years ago and have had no problems since but that concerned me.  I need to do a little more research but I'm going to try taking it for at least a few months.  I wouldn't think (if it's true) it could do much damage in that short amount of time.  I'll ask my doctor about it too next time I see him.

The girl at GNC said the most popular product they sell for ED is something called Steel Libido.  They have it for both men and women.  Anyone ever tried that?

I'll stop by the drugstore on the way home and have a look.

Of course any of these are more likely to work when you've laid a good foundation by losing excess weight and getting at least somewhat in shape.  (File that under "Do as I say, not as I do.")
