Provider Doesn't Trust TER

As a Newbie I'm asking lots of questions, following TER advice as much as possible, and being very careful and selective (only seen one Provider to date). I've begun discussion with a second Provider who advertises through a supposedly theraputic only massage mall. (BTW, its only as this is where I found my first Provider...per TER membership). Well, this Provider says she doesn't have nor wants reviews because she doesn't trust TER saying LE patrols it. We been chatting by phone. I'm sure she is legit. She is cautious and selective. She seems to know the business and of other Providers and locales in my city but she doesn't web advertise in the explict sites. As a result of no Reviews, how can I be sure and get the valuable opinion of the populus before commiting. Or, should I do as many of you have stated in the past, "Pass on this one as there are plenty of others that are well reviewed to select from".  Providers, I'm especially interested in your replies.

ps. If a Provider doesn't believe in site like TER, how does she prevent clients from posting reviews? Do Providers have a certain power that can prevent TER reviews?

If a provider does not want her reviews listed on TER, she can request to be delisted.

When a provider is delisted, her TER profile is removed from the database.  This may occur at the provider's request (for a variety of legitimate legal or personal reasons, including retirement), or when a provider is banned for fraud, posting fake or self-reviews, or other rules violations.

When a provider has been delisted, her profile cannot be viewed, and states "That provider information is no longer available."  To protect their privacy, specific reasons for why a provider was delisted are not disclosed to the general public or TER members.

Delisted providers are not allowed to post anywhere on TER, nor is discussion of delisted providers allowed on TER discussion boards. New reviews of delisted providers are not approved.

she may have personal/security issues that are on going that call for herself to be delisted.
LE patrols everything - don't kid yourself.
Since you posted under an alias, unable to give you much more guidance other than if you have seen several ladies in your area... ask them about her.  If she is indeed on the up and up, her community will know...

One thing everyone should always keep in mind is that whether it be this site or one of the competitors' site, at one time or another rumors flow and true and or not, seep into our minds.  Obviously this provider heard something about TER being watched my LE and it is on her mind in reference to having reviews or not.
Solely from my opinion based on what you've shared, she sound paranoid to me, not cautious.  The fact that she goes beyond no reviews to no 'real' advertising, seems to shout paranoia to me.  The fact is that she is just as likely to get busted with what she does do as much as if she allowed the reviews.  With that said, I also know that there can be other issues surrounding her focus on anonymity, such as custody issues, a high profile day job, relationships and/or reputation of others' to protect.  I think you can see how you really just can't assume it's paranoia or that it's not, for that matter.  Finally, you say you are "sure she is legit"; if that's so then what are you waiting for?  Either go ahead with her, or as you said, pass and move on.  I hope that's at least a little insightful and helpful to you.
Kisses,
~~Gina

If she is indeed a licensed massage therapist (I would assume so if she only advertises on a therapeutic massage directories)... and depending on where you are... she has VERY good reason to want to operate UTR.  Some states consider massage health care.  She can easily lose her license to ever practice again, AND be charged with a felony.

Paranoia?
Maybe.
Justified?
Yes, maybe.

If she doesn't want reviews and her service is good PLEASE honor her request.  If you are hesitant to see her because she has no reviews, ask her if she has any references to provide to you.  If you cannot get enough information to be comfortable seeing her, don't.

You can post a 411 on your local board.  Be sure to provide a link to her web site because often times there are multiple ladies with the same name in an area.
