I have done that when someone stole some of my travel photos. That is a US law and it doesn't help you outside the US. You can still write the ISP, they may help. I was lucky it was a US based ISP and they took the photos down.

In addition have you should copy right all of your pictures.

You can learn a lot with a simple google search.

Well, that was a mouthful. But, then again, I like a good mouthful.

 Anyway...

Web sites (parasites) who steal content from TER and other good advertisers, and, then, after repeated polite requests, will ignore your requests to remove your intellectual material from their site. You know the ones. ladies.

TER has been impeccable with me.

So many times, the ladies life, limb, and everything else is threatened because of these bullshit sites.

If you cannot control where your photos and name and words show up, you are not in a good position. You are quite in a horrible position and these idiots don't know, or probably don't care, what happens after that.

Then, you email their server. They are usually out of the States. They say, "Not my circus, not my monkeys."

Well, it may not be your circus, but it is indeed your monkey. The Gee Eff EEE Munkey sort.

In the past, ladies have taken down these unethical sites. Please email or PM me if you have that specific procedure.

Many thanks in advance for any help xx

They hide contact information so you cannot contact them. ( some places ) And when you use the "WHOIS" to located them, they have no contact information listed there either.

Without this, DMCA is useless.

There are a couple of others ones that I cannot reach. One specific one was in Canada. Stealing reviews from TER and using them on their website.

Most people are under the confusion ( or just don't give a rats ass) that if its in the free section of a website, or in a public domain that they can repost it if they give you credit and that is highly untrue.

This is my experience at least, so if someone has another solution, I'm all ears ( well all tits and ass but we'll say ears for this equation)

Thanks!

Go onto Tor or one of the various message boards for this and find yourself a hacker.

Yes the one taken down was in canada.

Than you and bless your hearts! xxxx

I often see what seem to be stolen pictures--often used in ads in smaller communities--I imagine the thieves think they have a better chance of getting away with it if they use stolen pics in different areas than the ads they were originally posted in..  On occasion I have known the provider and have contacted them to let them now.  Most appreciate that--but In a few cases they didn't seem to care!  I have been given the impression this is well known and difficult to deal with by some long timers.  Glad to see there are options sometimes to get stuff taken down.

For what it's worth, I have also seen the real lady post an ad where the stolen pictures are being used to warn people.  I sure appreciate that.  Too bad some of the ad sites don't seem to care about stolen pics.
