With the advent of internet, cell phones that access the web etc. it is much better to go at things that way - and I personally prefer independent ladies to agencies - just my choice.

These days, I rarely pick up the phone book. However, I was looking up restaurants while on the road in DC the other day and I remembered that big cities always have a huge escorts section. Out of curiousity, I looked up a bunch of agency phone numbers in TER but I didn't get any matches.
Do people use phone book escort services? Where are they in the hierarchy -- level of a CL ad? Maybe more like an AMP?
I'm curious because I noticed many of the ads say that they are open 24h. It isn't always easy to find a reputable provider to scratch that itch at the last minute, or at odd hours...

Occasionally one phone book agency will turn out to have ok, but not exceptional service. Most all others are upselling shops or total ripoffs, better off staying away from them all if you don't want to end up wasting time and being unsatisfied.
When I travel, I do my homework ahead of the trip. I research up to ten ladies and list them in terms of my hotness for them. I try to set an appointment with the top one, but will contact two to three others to find out their working days and hours, if that information is ont listed in their ads. I have seldom not had great company using this method. On occasion, I will visit with several of the ladies on my list during my visit to their city.
I live in Reno, the only phone book ads here are for agencies or cathouses. None of these can hold a candle to a well reviewed indie. The Vegas phone book has about 200 pages of escorts, alot of the ads say 'not an agency'. Every one I called WAS an agency. Hard upsell. They were all shown the door, rather quickly. Lesson learned. Stick with the well reviewed indies. Safe, no hassles, and LOTS of fun!

wtf?? Instead of going to florida with an unresearched list of six escorts on cityvibe, why didn't you do your homework beforehand and have an appointment preset with a knonw provider before you even left home?
At the very least, you could have taken a list of six escorts (or a couple of agencies) that you had already researched and verified on TER - increasing your chances of success immeasurably.
Live and learn. And that phone book is only good for holding the hotel room door open.
