To answer your question, Shit costs more money now, Hell you go to the supermarket, and you can drop an easy 50 bucks on single bag of groceries.  

Hotel and travel cost more now. I came back from a business trip and it cost 500 a day, figure a lady traveling in to a big city might be paying close to the same amount.

Agee with others about expenses going up which obviously affects prices. I wonder if there are 2 other factors. First that the LE risks have gone up and risk = higher price. Also (perhaps related) is lower availability  of local providers including local independents. That means relying more on visiting providers who also have higher costs.  

I too noticed increasing prices so I did a bit of research on TER. Not surprising to find an even stronger relationship than ever between scores (look, performance ) and price

and IMHO, Jill's retirement has also had an influence on rising prices. There was always a safe place to play with great gals at  
a great price. I'd imagine many providers were glad to see that competition go away.  

I also noticed some very radical price increases from a few gals,  who still are very desirable, but they just don't have the scores to justify the rate increase for me.  

I'm not saying providers were happy to see Jill go, just her business model ... my post is not about Jill. Bless her heart  lol

In the past year the prices have gone up significantly.  Many visiting girls are now charging 500 + per hr.  Way out of my budget and comfort zone.  There also seems to be a shortage of decent girls at under 400 per hr price point.  I definitely have cut back on my hobbying.

Seems to be supply & demand.  Obviously the folks at higher rates are filling up their dance cards, so why shouldn't they be at higher rates?  I still greatly miss one local ATF who was $250/hr for the longest time but refused to raise her rates because she just didn't want to be greedy, and she would be outstanding at 2x the price.

The sad thing to me is the lack of a strong correlation between rate and quality, or even rate and professionalism, although admittedly the one time I went for 1000GBP/hr in London I have to say it was an outstanding time (but not sure if the greatness-to-dollar ratio was all that good regardless).  About $1 every two seconds, cuts down on the small talk.

Post Brexit, perhaps that ratio has improved ...

If I were a provider, of course I'd charge as much as I can, as much as "the market will bear." That makes sense. But, me too to the op... My hobbying is less. Definitely. I think part of it may be the nature of visits, as well. The charge is mainly for time.

ME... for example, a hobby encounter is like a spa trip--relaxed, max 2sog, kissing, chatting, connecting will fellow human being. However, the reviews I read---same price I'm paying but they're going for crazy acrobatic sessions.

I think acrobatic sessions are more popular than they used to be. Providers may want to redefine PSE and eliminate MSOG. Instead, offer a menu, maybe? Easier said than done, however. It might not work well, practically.

But why spend $600/HR for a provider offering services that I won't use
