Good question. It's always such a closely guarded secret and there have certainly been many more men and women in the hobby than we know. Thinking about this guy, I feel good about doing my patriotic duty to support the profession!

With this wonderful weather, the ladies are out.  As I walk in the loop, I look at the faces and wonder if this gal or that one is or was a provider.  Might she become one?  It is fun to speculate.  Guys, do you ever do this, or am I just too much into beautiful women?
I wonder if providers do the same to guys they see - do you wonder if that guy has ever seen a provider...might he see one?  Would you like him to be your client?  This weather just brings out the thoughts!

By looking at the people it's hard to say if they ever been in the hobby. I stopped by this monument this afternoon wondering how did the hobby operate around those times in US and was he ever a client. :-)

I don't know about Haym Salomon, but Ben Franklin would definitely be a hobbyist.

When a guys gaze lingers on me I often wonder if they've seen me on here or have happened upon my Instagram, website etc. I see gentlemen who have that look like I know her from somewhere and it always makes me giggle.

I like to hobby downtown, since I can hide in plain sight by taking public transportation.  That, and I don't like the idea of my car (and its license plate) being seen, or worse, impounded.  So while I'm on the train (CTA or Metra) heading to see my lady of choice, I play "spot the hobbyist" to make the train ride go by faster.  I look for body language giveaways like relative skittishness, enthusiastic typing on their phone (read: getting the hotel name), etc.  Or on the way back, things like grinning ear-to-ear, and being sprawled out in their seats.  Given how civvie dating is becoming a total cluster_uck nowadays, I can see these behaviors on trains becoming increasingly common.

I don't have a "spot the provider" counterpart, because I don't know how providers act while traveling to and from appointments, and from what I heard, most prefer to drive or be driven.
