On the gent, the situation, how well I know him and what we have worked out.  Someone brand new to me? He would definately have to compensate for my time.  Someone who I know well and enjoy as more than "a client" - I've often spent time having lunch, dinner or other social time.

There are times when I am in an area, and let previous clients know- because we will meet up and hang out

Do clients/providers ever go on regular lunch dates with each other? Like just lunch?

I've had several lunch and dinner outings whereas my gentleman du jour paid for the meal and slid me a little bit of shopping money for our time together.  

With that being said, these kind of dates do not happen regularly. Although, I consider myself a lucky woman when they do.  

Nevertheless, meals are so much fun when there in someone in the other chair. LO

I've done many where it's strictly lunch or lunch and then a session. So fun love them either way. I have so many great clients that are so enjoyable to talk with that lunch meets are fun.

to get together and share a meal, movie, or whatever. It all depends upon the relationship, the individuals and their respect for each other's boundaries. Just my own experience and opinion.
