END OF MESSAGE

What do you do when a provider misses an appointment? Do you write a review? Technically the person hasn't missed the appointment yet. However they haven't responded to my email message or two text messages that I left today. I don't think they're going to make it. I was looking forward to a nice evening

Who was it? Maybe others can relate? If it's a regular of yours that you like, not wanting to shame them on the board is understandable too.

sounds like you know something that we don't know about the OP

You couldn't write a review if you wanted to, you can't review a meeting that never happened. Did you do or say something that gave her a reason to not want to meet you?

Dude I'd give her the benefit of the doubt.  She hasn't missed yet.   And then even if she does, everyone deserves one pass.   Get an explanation before you pass judgement.   And then if youre not comfortable with her explanation - move on.

Dude's right. Everybody gets one.

You mentioned that she hadn't missed it "yet".  Possibly something scared her off or it was a true emergency.  If you don't get any reply at all, look at the interaction and see if there was something that may have been taken wrong or out of context.   If there was, she's probably off the list and there's no point in trying to explain, but you can learn for the next request for appointment.

Either way, it absolutely sucks.    You plan for an evening and unless you want to drive some scary streets, your day/night is shot and you're left on your own with internet porn.

Depends on how she handles it. Frankly, in this day and age, the excuse of 'I lost my phone, battery died, I tried to call." wears thin.

A genuine apology goes a long way, particularly acknowledging how it impacted you. Does she have to put up with the flip side of being NCNS'd far more? Yep - but it's part of the business. She can avoid those time wasters - but so can hobbyists.

If she made the appointment you should at least let us know.
If not, did she get back to you at all?

Everything turned out fine. I was just being anxious. Fairly new to this.

And says stuff like WTF didn't you show up and never bothered to call, text or email, etc.
