In December and January I visited a few independent Los Angeles area escorts. They were all well reviewed and all went 100% fine - entirely without incident. In the subsequent months, I've become engaged and am deeply fearful of my past behavior now somehow being found out. From a LEGAL standpoint only - should I retain a criminal lawyer just in case? There was never even a whiff of legal issue with the appointments, but i guess you never know.

So here's the question: Spend the $ to retain council or just count my blessings and just move on with my life? Any sincere advice is greatly appreciated because im having a panic attack. Thanks.

Even if you were foolish enough to use your real name, not likely it will come out.  PLENTY of time to worry about it should the remote possibility come to fruition.  Some of us have been at this for ten and twenty + years without any legal ramifications...  Emotional and financial, perhaps....

No - never used my name but did use cell.
Thx so much - seriously. I'll chill.

Your guilty concious is going to get you in trouble 1st. Not the law.

If your bride to be doesn't know anything yet. Then relax and chill. lol

Kinda like what happens in vegas stays in vegas!

Very helpful...wasn't sure if some retroactive John search was commonplace in LA. Seems no. Thanks dudes, be well.

Yes you need legal counsel, but not a criminal one, but a family law one.  If you're worried about potential blowback in the future, get a pre-nup now!!!

you've had GFs before.  Who hasn't?  It's between you & God how many & how many hours they were your GF for.

The likelihood of any prosecution coming out of events that happened months ago is so close to zero as to be statistically irrelevant!  The worse that could happen is your info coming up on a phone or email list and again, the chances are exceedingly slim that even vice would follow up on such information.  If contacted by anyone, however, SHUT THE FUCK UP and send me a pm, I can help! It is a rare occasion when someone makes their situation better by flappin' their jaw to cops!  Doesn't mean you don't give your account of things, you just would want to make sure it was done properly, if at all.

There is no need to retain a criminal defense lawyer at this time -- other than cash your check, there is absolutely nothing they could do for you right now.

In the unlikely event, the cops approach you, as with almost every interaction with the police, do NOT say anything, other than you need to speak to my lawyer. Then go hire a lawyer. Right now, just go invest in a hobby phone.
