There have been HUGE ISSUES in not being able to load the cards to your account. I was trying to use one in everyday life the other day, and the website kept giving me a 203 error. I called customer service and in order for me to get the money off the card, i have to send in copies of my ID, the card, and the receipt.
I wouldn't suggest using paypal cash cards at all.This is a message for providers in the Chicsgo area or touring (like I was). I saw a gentleman on my most recent trip to Chicago (2 weeks ago). His screening went fine, he asked to pay via PayPal and I allowed. Completed the 90 minute appt, 2 days later he disputes the transaction with PayPal saying someone else accessed his account, PayPal sided with him and I lost the $$$! Don't make the same mistake I did, PM me for the information to avoid him!
Cash is king.
It feels good to trust people, or want to trust people. I think I have a pretty good judgement on people, but when I started out solo I accepted a check from someone I had met before. It definitely bounced and he never responded. I just took it as a very expensive lesson! It's sad that some bad experiences can ruin it for other really nice reliable gentleman.

I whole heartly agree with you about the trust issue, it does feel good to think people are honest and their word is good. I personally live my life like that. Tony Montana said it perfect. I wouldn't suggest using paypal cash cards at all.
I've discontinued these cash load cards, because the "register didn't finalize the card". Then they "never got the email" on my proof of purchase, and the phone operators called the department that handles the card "that particular department." but wouldn't give me the name.
I feel like it's kind of scummy, and they're probably gaining interest on the money, and holding it as long as they can.
This is a recurring problem that's growing, and happened a handful of times to me. Not worth it.

Not only are charge backs a problem.... about 4 years ago, paypal somehow made a connection (I hear they have computers that do this).... between my "biz" and my paypal account. I had no charge backs- NOTHING like that, but they linked a phone number in ads to my phone number on the paypal account.....
They closed down my account and to this day, I cannot purchase anything through paypal, pay through paypal or anything!
In addition, they put me on a "bad" list, and I can't get square or any other type of payment system.
This is a real problem, because in my civie job I often need to pay for networking meetings or seminars, and I am unable to if it's set up through paypal. I run a monthly meeting, and used to use square for the payments. Can't do that now. ...... it's been a nightmare.
And also? All my money that was in the paypal account? They KEPT!
Sorry for the bad experience, all I can say is karma is a bitch and he will have his own treatment in near future.
Please don't feel discouraged about Chicago. There are gents out there who treat providers with respect. I look forward to your next trip since our schedule didn't align this time.
