So I was chatting with a couple on craigslist and we were about to start sending pics back and forth. They wanted a cock pic first so I took one with my tracphone and sent it to my private yahoo account. I thought I forwarded it to them but when I clicked on the link it took me back to my yahoo page. Did I send them a shortcut to my yahoo inbox? Anyway I panicked and deleted everything right away. The inbox, sent, spam, trash and then deleted the account. I always use a fake name and so on so there is no direct link to me. Until I remembered that Betty and I had been chatting back in March so I could get screened to see Portia. I had emailed her some personal info. If I deleted my yahoo account and they click the link received from me on craigslist will it take them to my inbox? The yahoo termination page says something about being able to get info for 90 days after an account is deleted. Should I worry that they can read all my inbox items or are they gone by now (need password to get back in because it was deleted)?

My understanding is you still need to log into your account to access what is inside it.

Unless they were clicking on the link on a machine that was currently logged into your account, I don't think they would have access. Otherwise, those links would be way too powerful and there'd be a lot more info on that kind of vulnerability.

The 90 day limit means if you wanted to get it back, you can request that from Yahoo and so long as it is winthin the 90 day periods, they can do it for you.

But the link he used wouldn't work for the other people anyhow, since they aren't logged into yahoo. At best, all they'd get is a yahoo mail logon screen.

You can't give someone remote access to your email account without logon access.

I use a separate email for everything hobby related. This helps cross contamination if shit goes south. The truth is if they really want to know who and where you are they know.

It is a separate email, the only personal info was to get screened to see Portia.  Was just wondering if a link to my email would be open or would you need to log in to see anything(from an outside device) when you hit the link

Would I be safe to re activate my yahoo account ( I have craigslist, Ashley Madison, and a few other adult sites linked to that email account. All under a fake name of course)

Well I guess it wasn't a separate account after all. Also what part of the word DELETE don't you understand? Why save that crap after a successful date. For me once business is concluded all emails are deleted. If it's someone I see often their contact info might be discretely saved. However since I only see women that use P411 and similar sites I rarely save any information and just contact them through those websites. Problems solved.

Everyone's paranoid or married and cheating. Privacy i get, but no one cares about your email, and can't get in unless their a hacker, nsa who can track any email address to you anyway. Don't say anything dumb or send dunb pics. Isn't escorting legal anyway, you just pay for a date

guess I jumped the gun on deleting everything. I'm not very computer savvy and didn't stop to think. Even with a link to my fake email inbox a person from an outside device would still be asked to log in. Whatever, it's time to start a new false address anyway. Thanks to Vorlon for always being such a mentor with your input and advice. And how I love to have my ass ripped by you boys with no reviews!!  LOL
