Please explain.  I think I know what you are saying and if it is fact, it might be helpful for new members to know.

Can someone help please
I placed a new introduction on the MN board- for some odd reason it's over on the ad board.
I'm confused.

1) TER Admin saw your post, decided it was an ad, and moved it to the Ads board.
2) A TER member thought your post was an ad and reported it to TER Admin, who agreed and moved it to the Ads board.

If you click on My TER, above, then My Board Posts, there should be a message from TER Admin saying what happened to your post. If it's not clear, you can do a Contact Us and ask for additional info

I did attach a link to my website
that mite have been why.
Ter didn't explain. That's to bad what a waste of a ad.
If i ask them to remove the ad
would it be possible to post a actual ad in a few days?
Thank you for your help.

that caused your post to be moved, since providers can't put a link to their web site in the start of a thread.

You can do Report a Post on your own ad (I guess Contact Us would work too) and ask TER Admin to delete it (mention that you made a mistake), and maybe they'll do it since you're new.

Oh btw... welcome!  :)

I'm right on it!
Thank you, thank you very much

You can use a link within your post on this board, you just can't start a new thread and include a link with the initial post. That is what qualified your post as an ad. Since you are new and probably moderated, admin moved your post before they even released it.

that all newly registered handles start out moderated by default until they have a solid posting history for them to be trusted enough to be unmoderated. Since Kendra appeared to be new, that was the basis of my assessment. I don't see how TER would unmoderate a new handle immediately.

Unmoderated posters will usually have their posts go live immediately without admin reviewing them. A moderated poster will have his/her posts first reviewed by admin before going live on the discussion board. It was my judgement that admin interpreted her original post as an ad based on their rules and relocated it to the MN Ad Board before it ever went live on the MN Discussion Board. If her original post did go live on the MN Discussion Board, then it is likely someone filed a problem report and had her post moved

That's what I thought.  Newbies of either kind are not trusted and may see legitimate posts, reviews, etc. not get posted--or get denied.  They need to make this clear.

I suspect none of us want an angry spouse to join up and out her husband on the board. Or an evangelical to start preaching the gospel and damning us to hell. Or LE to start threatening dire consequences. Or ... use your imagination. Moderating new members for a period of time seems a reasonable precaution.

TER could do a better job of making this clear to newcomers.
