They dumb it down for tourists. People jump from buildings, lots of things go on and it isn't reported
Obviously its a tough city tho can also be an awesome place to live- its what you make it!

Not to disagree, but I do read alot of the negative things that happen in Vegas, headers off the Stratosphere, interior of the Luxor, balcony of Cosmopolitan, top of the (formerly) Westgate, not to mention the new bridge adjacent to Hoover dam. Providers getting beat up is a common occurrence.
I don't have a statistic to quote, but my personal belief is that Vegas probably has the highest percentage of convicted felons of any city in the U.S.
Oh ya vegas is a place people go to disappear- reinvent themselves- but of course wherever you go there you are!

But it's not sexy news, most of the scammers in this business are the providers. Just take a look at all the false advertisement on BP. 1000% real photo of me or its free, blah blah
How many scammers and bs calls you get ... Try dozens a day, dozens!!! Don't go throwing out stats when you have limited experience (because you are just a john) ... I don't know what it's like for a john so I can't say one way or another. As a provider I can tell you that I get very few a month advertising on TER and P411 compared to dozens a day from BP ads.
My father always told me, "If you keep doing what you've always done, then you will get what you always got" ... Good advice to live by.

John's do get robbed and it does make the newspaper, at least if the John in man enough to report it. Recently a gentleman was getting a "massage" from a lady when he noticed his $35,000 Rolex was missing. He searched the room and called hotel security who also called the police. The woman was arrested and the Rolex found, how many guesses do you need as to where?
Well I'm glad you've recognize that the other side has similar problem and that was what I wanted to make. There are scammers on both sides.
not in favor of providers. A hobbyist may see 12 or 24 or 50 providers in a year. A provider may see that many in a month. She has a much greater risk of danger faced by LE or run of the mill assholes.
So, if I used your #s that mean the probability of us John's getting scammed/robbed, etc are much higher.

Never see a gal who has less than 15 reviews. (unless introduced by someone I have already met)
Never use anything but a hobby phone.
Pay for and use both TER and P411.
When you find providers you enjoy,keep seeing them. If they treat you poorly, dump them

About 2 men getting robbed at the Encore, it really shook up the escort world in Vegas as we now deal with heavy security at the Wynn and Encore when going there for calls... So yes Talon, many Johns get robbed in Vegas and locals and escorts hear about all about it... Whether it's through the grapevine or news outlets.
I also heard about that tragic case with that girl.... Its incredibly sad and it makes me hope the majority of girls in this business are in safer situations than that. It is one of the main reasons I can never understand the appeal of "pimps". Vegas is a dog eat dog world... That city will make you or break you. Just my 2 cents.
