I used to change my own oil till now it is just as expensive to get the expensive oil and do it myself vs. having it done for me.  

but now I don't buy my favorite AMSOIL either.  Bummer.  I got lazy and go with the full synthetic offered at the shop because it costs near the same as buying just the materials.  

Is this wrong?   So wrong!  I  miss changing my own oil.  It's sexy.  It's like having sexy with my car and making it come.  Hmmmm.  But it gets a threesome when I take it in.   What is a girl to do

Seriously... who do you trust to change more than just your oil? I am not a car genius and I always seem to get duped because I don't know any mechanics! Where are the trustworthy, up front, honest mechanics who won't tell me my car needs $600 of work I don't need? PM me any solutions you may have.... thanks ! :)

I've had good luck with Hagen's Auto Body at 28th and Lyndale in South Minneapolis, but they may have closed.

I know a lady who gets her VW New Beatle worked on at Quality Coaches. She said that they're a little more expensive than some other places, but they've done very good work.
