Seriously, find that one or two that you really feel comfortable with... see them at least every other month... when shit like this happens to me, I get in touch with mine... and, on the flip side, when they are having a bad hair day or whatever, I am there for them.

I’ve been out of the game for three-and-a-half years and recently decided to treat myself. However, my luck has been pretty poor over the last couple months.
I sent an e-mail to a well-reviewed provider, well in advance of my desired appointment. She replied fairly quickly, but essentially only said to get back to her. We traded a few e-mails, with nothing definitively settled. She said to contact her on the same day I want to meet. I put in a formal request and got no answer for two days; then she said my note landed in her bulk mail. My phone calls went into her voice mail, but she wrote later that she never got them. After spending more than a week on this process, I gave up on her.
Next, I contacted a provider working near my house who doesn't have an incall location. I can't have an outcall in my neighborhood for reasons of safety, but her site said that sometimes she had incall days. When I wrote her, she said she would have an incall day coming up and would let me know. Never heard back from her.
Back on Oct. 28, I wrote to another provider to see about an appointment. I couldn't see her for two weeks, but we set something up. I showed, but she didn't make it because she got held up with something and couldn't reach me until later in the day. Then our schedules clashed again, so I've been trying to set something up this week, but she's been slow to lock in details.
I'm going into my 8th week of trying to have a successful appointment. Believe me, I know I'm being a little fussy. I am limited in funds and availability, so I'm not willing to just go with anyone. Along with being frustrating, it’s also funny. Maybe I’m not meant to get back into action?
I'm sure this isn't what you want to hear, but these things happen. Last year, I had plans A, B, C and D all fall on the same day!!!
Keep trying. Try to take things as they happen, and don't take things personally!!! Sometimes the hobby gods are against you, but rarely for long.

Boy, that sound like my ATF. She's a great gal, but a bitch to schedule.
Look up well reviewed providers on EROS or City Vibes who are comming to your area; also review your local board here on TER.
These gals are very focused on getting enough dates to make their stay worthwhile, as opposed to a local lass who can take a more relaxed attitude towards scheduling.
They are also always incall which is what you want. I have seldom had a failed appointment with a traveling provider.
Also, if you (like I) want to make appointments many days or weeks in advance, never depend on a provider who tells you to get back to them a day before hand. This is the sign of a provider who never wants to schedule and is unreliable in this regard.
Other than that, there's always the massage parlor route. Just walk in and take your chances.
I have at times experienced the same rodeo as you just described. It is maddening.
Take heart however, there are times that every thing just falls into place.
That was great advice, to focus on former ATFs and out-of-towners. I e-mailed just such a visitor this week and heard back about possibly meeting. I e-mailed last night and again this morning, but have never heard back.

Still sticking to the game plan, I'm going to try one more touring provider. Fingers crossed.
