Always, always beside. Even if furniture needs to be moved.

To "sit down across the table" has it's own definite meaning and it' isn't "making out."

I was in the local Golden Coral for a late lunch when the early birds wandered in. I'm assuming they had been couples for many years.

Some sat next to eachother and others sat accross the table from eachother. What do you do?

At my age, I think I am getting some of the conversation by reading lips. I have and can appreciate being next to my lady to attempt a little tease.

What do you do on a dinner date with your ATF or whatever?

... we usually sit across from each other, if the table is small. She has beautiful eyes and an expressive face, and I love looking at it while we talk over dinner.  Except one time our "dinner date" was Chinese take-out on a bed... at her request.

but I used to know one gal who always made sure we got a booth, and then sat next to me so she could stick her hand down my pants.

God she was fun

I always sit across from my companion and watch as I activate the remote control vibrator that is embedded in her vagina - it's so entertaining!

since we don't get to see each other that often, I enjoy having the opportunity to look at her and have those visions imprinted in my mind.  Not only that, but her smile and her eyes are to die for.  And those are best observed by sitting across.  The teasing and the playtime can wait a bit.

A long time ago a favorite girl of mine once, while we were lying together, asked me why I was starring at her.   I told her because I never want to forget you, or any part of you.  She's now been gone for five years; and I haven't.   Photos, videos, etc are fine but visions and memories are old school and allow for our own interpretation and imagination.  Kind of like movies vs books.

Memories, at any age, are wonderful.   Someone once asked me why I spend so much money on travelling and vacations when in fact, after that time is over, I have nothing to show for it and I could have bought myself a new car or boat for what I just spent?   First of all, I don't want a new car or boat.

Material things come and go.  Memories and experiences never fade away, often even get better with time, and keep you yearning for more.    That's a good thing.

I want to look at this beautiful creature who has granted me the gift of spending time with her.  Her eyes, her smile her responses to my words and expressions mean so much to me.  I couldn't see all that sitting side by side with her.

with my date is almost always across and facing her. Once the only table left was a big round booth. We sat next to each other within touching range and that was fun too.
