And maybe Minneapolis will get its own Top 100 list?  As of now, as you point out, some of the names are gone.  For instance, Poppy should be right at the top of the MN list and she isn't.  It is a mystery at this point and one should ask TERAdmin for the answer.

Big shake up! What happened?

Providers listed in "Minneapolis" no longer show up in the Top 100 for Minnesota.  I verified that by looking at a few profiles where the provider's location is now Minneapolis instead of Minnesota.

But there's no way to select the Top 100 for Minneapolis!  I have just reported that to TER Admin and asked them to add Minneapolis to the selection list for both Providers and Reviewers.

See the thread below re comments on this change, i.e. adding Minneapolis as a location.

Confusingly, providers in Minnesota are listed under EITHER "Minnesota" or "Minneapolis" and the Top 100 doesn't list Minneapolis yet. IMO, the whole change should be scraped. It's going to cause a lot of confusion.

...there was no problem before so why try to fix it? I've seen this type of mismanagement so frequently in my work experience that I just have to shake my head and ask someone to please just shoot me. Work with the people who are most impacted by your 'great idea' what they think of the proposed work design change and then promise and deliver that you'll change things back when you realize it was a foolish mistake.

What's the difference between Minneapolis and Minnesota? Very little. At least 95% of the adult encounters occur within the Twin Cities metro area so there's no need to parse out the reviews or profiles. A simple statement within the review of where the reviewer met the lady, whether St. Cloud or Duluth, should do the trick

Here are the odd balls on the list  ...

    - Orange County
    - Tuscon
    - Palm Springs
    - Gold Coast - CA
    - Huntsville
    - Long Island
    - New England
    - Orlando
    - Sacramento

Considering the top 300 list by population ...

       http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_United_States_cities_by_population
       http://www.biggestuscities.com/top-1000

Take the top 25 cities and list the others list by state!

BTW WTF are these doing on the list

       - Orlando - #77/pop. 238,300
       - Huntsville - #126/pop. 180,105
       - Palm springs - #804 /pop. 45,907  (I mean, WHAT THE FUCK here!!!!!!!!)

but both Orlando and Palm Springs are popular tourist destinations with lots of hotel rooms.  Also the Orlando metro area is significantly large than just the city proper.

It appears there is no rush to change things.

So, I guess it should be City as Minnesota to show up in the top 100 and other city serviced as Minneapolis to help with searches?

Edit: oh, Robert_BadenPowell pointed out the new change to the top 100.

Although I agree this is a solution in search of a problem.
