Jackie If I remember right if I left my hat on  you would just knock it off and across the room.   LOL

I was just wondering about everyone's opinion on a hobbyist bringing his own playlist/music? I've thought about it because dead silence is just plain boring and if the radio is on when commercials come on, it just kills the mood.

Thoughts?

I find Renaldo  & The Loaf - Songs for Swinging Larvae, really sets the mood

For out calls I provide the music.  Incalls it's her call.  But bad music can be as distracting as no music.  So as far as the mood goes I have a simple philosophy......if I'm nude I'm in the mood.

if a gentleman really wanted to listen to his own playlist, pun there..I would have no problem with it. JMO  J. xoxo

As long as it's not too loud it doesn't make a lot of difference to me.  I did have one lady who favored Joe Cocker.  That was good.    bigdell

I like if someone brings their own too, otherwise I try my best to avoid boring target-spa CD's lol

I favorite is  if they have spotify or other music streaming.  //www.youtube.com/watch?v=UspGqdwcbQs

Barry White, Marvin Gaye, The Temptations, you can't go wrong.

...is that I want to sing along with them. I love music and if it's a good song I like, I want to sing along, and when I'm trying to concentrate it just makes things difficult. Now, if the guy is into that kind of thing then no biggie, but the urge to sing along when I'm doing my thing is sometimes difficult to overcome and I'm so afraid of offending someone I try to choose music tracks where I won't have that problem.

So I tend to play a mood channel on spotify called "Smart is the New Sexy." It has some vocals but nothing overwhelming and nothing mainstream. I have to be careful though, because it's inevitable that I will learn the songs and want to sing along.

Now, if anyone wants to have a sing-along with me, I'm game! :-) Eagles, Jackson Browne, Elton John, Billy Joel, Backstreet Boys, Pink, Kelly Clarkson, Janet Jackson, Foreigner, Journey, Air Supply....etc., etc., Make it a 2 hour par-tay! :-D

But seriously, it's hard to find instrumental mood music that isn't spa-like (with dolphins and seagulls) or classical (boring and heavy). Maybe go with a little Enya but that can get overwhelming too. Maybe I can find a "musac" kind of channel with instrumentals of popular songs, but with a little less "elevator music" feel
