Not naming names just yet, but there are a few local power users on here who have tons of reviews but are always the only guy to have reviewed that provider. This makes me think the reviews are fake, or created for the purpose of getting free VIP. I mean, I can understand wanting to take one for the team...but every single time? Thoughts? Mechanism to prevent such abuses of this site?
The "power players", imo, see more ladies than the more casual hobbyists do. Plus, there are many many gals who try the hobby and then decide its not for them after all and leave. IMO, this is why there are so many gals with one review. I know fake reviews are going to happen but I want to believe most reviews are real
I have two screens
-one for women who meet my criteria
-one for new reviews (less specific because there is less data)
I set both screen for 2 or more reviews.
...he enjoys seeing new, unreviewed ladies (often found on BP) and TOFTT and writing their first review and taking the free VIP days he earns as a result. While it doesn't make financial sense to spend $150 - $200 to get 15 free VIP days to many of us, it does to him and this is the way he chooses to hobby. So be it. I have no reason to believe that his, or any of the other power users' reviews are fake. One can speculate that they are but I won't believe it until it's proven. I could understand that someone might get by with writing a fake review once or twice but at the number of reviews these guys write, I doubt they could get away with it that often without getting caught and being banned from TER.
I remember a post she made shortly before retiring. She said every single one of her 15 most recent reviews were fake.

I sometimes wonder what she's been up to, she always was an ATF Emeritus. She was so powerful it took nearly 9 years to find someone that could replace her

I am assuming that it is likely you may have seen some of the same gals he has. It is pretty easy to tell if a review is real when you have seen a gal. If those are previous reviews are real it is likely that the rest are real as well.
I ramp it up further most of the time--until I see a reviewer I have some trust in pop up I am leery. There are some who seem legit that seem to pop up often as the first reviewer that I am still cautious of but feel a little safer with. With others it's easy to see what it is likely going on--those that have have reviewed several brand new providers over the course of a few days. Could be legit but I try not to be the one to find out!
Even if a guy really enjoys being a provider's first reviewer, she should get other reviews afterward. I've stumbled across a few situations where there were providers who first few reviews were all from the same set of reviewers who never review anyone else. That screams to me of an organized effort to write fake reviews, particularly if said handles don't have any posting activity.
I've TOFT probably 50+ within my first+ year, and I can tell you some details of all my reviews that only the provider would know. I don't have the time or desire to write reviews for each provider I see.
Most of my appointments are on very short notice because of my work schedule. I know this is a little risky because most of the bp girls don't do LE check. Which is a real big surprise for me, when I first started this 'hobby'
