Obviously it's perfectly fine for anyone to post their point of view. And sometime I get a good laugh out of them. Other times I wish I had a DELETE button.
Can't say that I haven't posted one of these too, but I make a point of not defending my comment or going back and forth with the insults. That's a place we should all draw the line. IMHO ... but life doesn't work like that so it will happen again.
My personal trick reading the boards is to pretend that someone is saying things to me like they would in a bar.
What can I do?
Smile, blink, nod and continue to get drunk.

You might lose those that are grim faced, or unblinking, or with stiff....necks that can not nod, and of course as you referenced the teetotalers.

I tend to be the non-confrontational type myself, but I do express an occasional opinion if I believe strongly in something. Otherwise I just smile and move on. Others I know will start an argument just to see the reaction, whether they even believe what they are saying or not!

The funny thing about the thread that has sent the board into a twirl is this dope thinks it's real. I've had my run in's with him in the past and he boast about bringing wine and having romantic evenings with providers. He was offended that I called them prostitues. So clearly this fool thinks it's real. So why would he visit with a provider that doesn't agree with his political views .. Imagine listening to his shit for a hour for $400.. LMFAOOOOO
