you mean she produces a cover in which you did not see her take out of the package. It's never happened to me but yeah, it could bother me.

Safety and comfort goes both ways, everything should be unwrapped, uncorked, unsealed or opened in front of both of you.

But I don't think it's ever happened to me, which is of course a good thing.
It was probably a just mistake from hurrying.
If you're in a situation where you may get caught with covers when they aren't used at home & prefer they provide them but if it really bothers you that much and you're worried it could happen again,
then next time you should just get a pack & leave the remaining ones with whomever you're with.
