Yes, we certainly do.  A woman's perspective is always welcomed and valued.

When NY Confidential first came to TER I tried the service and it was good. They posted ads for their girls and left it at that. Then they decided to get cute with all the contests. Along with the contests came the constant postings in threads. When a hobbyist starts a thread about a certain topic we want other hobbyists as well as providers to respond. I see no reason why an agency would need to get involved in these threads. It looks like Friends of NYC is following in NY Confidential's footsteps. They are involved in almost every thread that has been on this board in the last 2 days. They also have been squeezing in mini-ads whenever it is possible. If I have to hear 1 more time that gabriella will be in NYC I think I am going to scream. What is the deal with every time they post that they include a picture of one of their girls? Just post a link and if we are interested we will check out your webpage. If your agency is as good as you claim it is then your girls will speak for you. You are over promoting your agency and as a hobbyist I get skeptical when I see that.

You are better off following in the footsteps of agencies like Julies of NYC and BDJ. They may read the boards but they leave it at that. They never give their 2 cents and that is a good business decision on their part.

If your girls are good, hobbyists will write about them. That is the best advertising that you can get. If you continue to shove your agency in our face you may not get many hobbyists to use your service. We have seen this all before and I know we will see it again with the next agency that tries to make a name for itself.

TER sets a limit as to how frequently a provider can "post" an advertisement as a message on a message board--once every two weeks or once a month, something like that. View it as TER's limit on commercials, like TV advertising was regulated before Reagan.  It used to be that commercials were limited in prime time to 5 minutes per half hour, 10 minutes overall. Now its closer to 22 minutes. By having "shills" and intruding into hobbyist discussions, those agencies get more "free" advertising.  For a start up agency, perhaps it's one way to go, rather than relying on a quality name to build up one's reputation.  The problem with allowing the newbie agencies to do it is that the established agencies may decide to get in on the act and this message board goes the way of reviews for Asian Massage Parlors.

From girlnextdoor,

By participating in the discussions on TER discussion boards, you can greatly increase your visibility and give potential clients the opportunity to get to know you better.  You may include your link in messages you contribute to any TER discussion board, and that does not count toward your ad limit.  In fact, you are encouraged to include your link, because it helps everyone get to know you better.  Just please make those linked messages meaningful, entertaining or helpful contributions.

Friends added comments to a couple of threads and then responded to questions or comments directed at them by others. According to the above paragraph, they are playing by the rules.

It's not only New York Check the Floida boards.  They are doing the same thing with a provider named laura. The girls are the same as Friends in Boston. Just touring like BDJ does.    I don't know yet weather that's a temporary thing to get noticed. For now I'm going to stay neutral

I fail to see the similarities.  NY Confidential was just plain obnoxious in their marketing.  Friends is not at all obnoxious.  Since they're new to the area they just want to make their presence known.  If anything their posts are benign, and certainly not ofensive in any way.

I'm sure this will slacken off once they get established.  And besides, why shouldn't they contribute here.  It's what TER is supposed to be:  A forum for the hobby, plus information as to availability of certain ladies in the area.  If Shauna or Alyssa, or any of the regularly visiting indies (Erotic Gina, Lusty Lacey, Sexy Toni, etc.) didn't post when they were available, you would complain as well.  I'd cut Friends some slack.  They're not doing anything that's wrong or distasteful.

The last thing I wanted to do was to turn anybody off. I thought and I still think that I was posting according to TER rules. I guess it doesn’t matter if I was because, if people are getting annoyed with Friends, I’m not doing my job. On the Boston board, the moderators have always encouraged providers to join in the discussion. Maybe you guys don’t like that on this board. When I started posting on this board, I was careful not to jump into threads about other providers. I replied to a couple of general posts and then started replying to posts that were directed at Friends. Buddym started a new thread asking Friends to come to LI. I replied to that thread, now he is upset. I have to admit I’m confused.

Anyway, my job is to get people talking about Friends. I guess I did that. (lol) but the last thing I want to do is to create any negative feelings. Again, I apologize.

Warm regards,

Tanya

Men and women bring different perspectives to this board. I enjoy seeing what everyone has to say and I assume most of the other TER readers feel the same way.

However, I think a few providers post only as an excuse to place their advertisement more than once per week (the TER guidelines)--then it's too obviously a commercial, which can be a turn-off.

Anyway, please stick around and keep posting--you have some cute girls and I'm sure you'll do great! :)

There is no need tout one of your lovely women every time you make a comment on the discission board.  It makes you appear less creditable.  Yes, I find your girls very attractive and would like you to bring them to LI but I also do not want to see you in my face all the time, if you get my drift. Also let me add the remark- about OK I'll bring the girls to LI but I want prebooking--Man that the biggest turn off to us Long Island Guys.  Any body out there agree with me on that.  Let him Know that there is a lot of gold east of the Cross Island Parkway.

Buddy,

I agree with you 100%. I guess that Friends of NYC must think that we are all white trash here on Long Island. I saw the other post that they made where they said that if we wanted their girls to come to Long Island that we would have to pre-book them. What the hell is that all about? The funny thing is that I see Friends on all the boards - Boston,Florida, etc and they have never mentioned that they want any other areas except Long Island to pre-book appointments. I think this is such a slap in the face to us Long Island guys.

Besides that, I watched them in another thread beg my buddy Santino Carleone to go and see Gabriella. If you have to push a product this hard, it can not be that good.

I would never use Friends of NYC. We have so many classy escort agencies that come to Long Island and treat us with respect. I would much rather give them my money.

Every hobbyist is different on the boards.  I find it funny that some people find more time to critize than to use the board for its original use which is flow of communication between providers and hobbyists.  Certain people are more sensitive than others in how you respond.  I posted asking the agencies that stay out on LI to come to NYC.  Some of the LI guys, which there are 4 to 5 that post everyday, thought I was degrading them.  Never was the case!  Do not know Long Island that well, and do not have a need to judge anyone.

I can't wait until the day, in which the moderators and TER just allow providers and hobbyists to have open discussions about services and who has the best quality, not about how many times people post, political statements, people dogging agencies, and other posts that do not deal with provider and hobbyist issues.

I find it funny, that some of the hobbyists get a kick out of attackig agencies on the board.  Just state the facts and move on, or post it in a review.  Some folks take this hobby too personal and too seriously.  Last time I looked a hobby was something enjoyable and relaxing.  We definitely are making fun less fun with some of the posts.

My personal challenge is I do not critize a group or person unless I have had some type of interactive personally.  For example, NYC Confidential, I attempted to use, but they broke a confidentiality rule I had about email.  So, I do not use them and let everyone know when the other issue came up.

I have never used or called Friends, but I look forward to having someone provide a good solid service in the city.  So welcome and do not be discouraged.
