Your point on the profits earned from adult movies by the cable providers, and also the hotel industry, is a good one. Way too profitable for these major corporations to discontinue porn-on-demand.

Same argument that makes state and federal governments strong supporters for continued tobacco smoking. With the global settlement of lawsuits that shares revenue/taxes, no governmental entity could afford to see smoking stopped.

Did anyone watch?.....IMHO, it wasn't the typical hatchet job you usually see when the topic is porn....

Thing that struck me the most was what a snob & creep Luke Ford is...To paraphrase him: "It's not like the people trying out for adult films would go to medical or law school anyway"....He basically insinuated that porn stars are losers blah, blah, blah.....

Even the Dept. of Justice atty. they had on, Buchcanon (sp.), didn't seem like on of those "we got to shut down the industry" types....She insisted that they aren't after the entire industry.....

I was surprised to learn how much companies like Comcast, DirectTV, earn from adult entertainment...As well as major hotel chains with the in-room movies....

Could Luke Ford get into law or medical school?

I agree I thought Luke Ford was tyring too hard to look legit and business like dressed in a suit and acting like he's above it all like you say. The guy makes his living off industry gossip for fucks sake who does he think he is all of a sudden.

The thing I don't quite understand why people have to be so serious about the porn industry when there are a lot of other more matter stuff happened around us.

That is great that no one wants to admit how much cash they make off porn. "We can't admit that in front of a National TV camera crew - shareholders might be watching!" Hypocrites - gotta love 'em.

The part about the US vs Extreme Assoc case was the most interesting. If Extreme has a disclaimer about 'local obscenity laws' on their website that you have to Accept, then I don't see how a clear thinking jury can convict them. The Bobo in Western PA who ordered the material would be the one on the hook. Of course the 'clear thinking jury' may be a dream on my part.
