Visiting your city soon!

I'll be coming to Chicago soon and I'm absolutely thrilled but also skeptical! This will be my first visit so I'm new to the area and don't know the "good" from "bad" areas. Suggestions? Information?

Nowhere you would ordinarily go for business is really unsafe. My recommendation is to split your time between O'Hare area and downtown. O'Hare gets more suburban clients and business travelers staying out there. Downtown will get you more city clients and people in the city on business.

Hi Taylorbaby,

I'll add another viable option.  Oak Brook, IL.  It is a business district outside of the city in a very nice area.  Lots of great hotels, restaurants, etc to choose from.  It is an attractive area for those professional guys who live in the suburbs.

Caution about downtown Chicago: VERY expensive, NO parking, and heavy traffic, which likely will have a negative impact on your visit.

I hope you have a successful trip
