So sorry this happened to you. I've been robbed before and although it is not like a physical rape, it is a violation to yourself. I didn't quite understand your post , do you mean they were arrested the day after they robbed you? Sometimes you have to wait years or even it occurs after you die, but the Karma bus does arrive for everyone, glad they were caught and hopefully they don't do this to anyone ever again. I'm not someone who can wait and make plans days or weeks in advance to get laid. I have a very busy schedule and something always come up and would hate to cancel on people. Also, when I have the urge I want to find someone who can meet me in matters of hours not tomorrow, NOT next week. If it's the age- or experience-gap that you're referring to, remember that not everyone here is past our prime dating years. I took up the hobby because dating just wasn't fun anymore.
I don't think that it's necessarily out of line for a 25-year-old to date an 18-year-old. In my late 20s I dated women of that age (cute ones at that), and I didn't need to spend money on them. Most were friends.
Bad press is a separate issue, but they probably wouldn't give us good write-ups even if we all dated within a year of our own ages
