TER runs on checks and balances.  Details in the review give the Provider a fair opportunity to contest a false review.  With a no show review, there is nothing the provider can do.

We need to be fair to both sides.  The guys should have the right to inform others of this problem, but there needs to be checks and balances so this feature is not abused by guys trying to get back at providers for whatever reason.

I am all for a now show review, or something similar, but we need to find a better way.  At the moment, at least the message board gives both sides a chance to tell thier story.

No show's are such a burn, that it makes sense to me that they be included in the provider's history of reviews.   The review needs to be clear and appropriate, not a flame, sharing with the Community that the provider failed to show, didn't call, and never followed up later.  Folks wishing to call her in the future can do so understanding the totality of reviews.

I wrote such a review, and it was rejected.  Any thoughts from the group on whether this is a "no show" review makes sense for TER?

Does this mean this is a dead issue, or is it open for suggestions again?

It is absolutely open for discussion.  We just need a solution that is fair and somewhat verifiable for the providers.  Currently our review systems does not fairly rate "no-shows"  because you cannot give a performance and appearance rating if you did not see the provider.  Most people put 1/1 out of spite.

Remember guys, negative things on a girls reviews can dramatically effect their business. We need to be fair anytime we do this.  We need a way to get this info out yet stop people who may abuse this feature to hurt the provider falsely.

Changing one of the categories to include a no show drop down option or adding a no show check box.

If the no show option is selected, grey out everything else and only allow a general comment that would have to include the date. Since someone screens all the reviews, only allowing the date would be a fast screen to accept/reject, and not allowing any other info to be selected won't skew the averages.

From the provider side, she's have the date for a reference and she should be able to work backwards to repudiate for your satisfaction if needed.

Some providers book as many dates that come their way as possible, only to cancel or no show on those they can't make.  This not only angers the hobbyist, but it also takes business away from those who would be a second choice.

I agree that some sort of pull down button for no shows would probably help the hobby as a whole.  Those same providers that take pride in their performamce when they do show up, will probably only accept dates they intend to keep.
