When to quit ...

Hopefully an interesting question for all:

When or will you ever quit this hobby? Lots of factors play into this decision such as marriage, age, income, functionality, and so on ... Other thoughts: Will you wean off, continue even after you can't perform, stop when you paid off college???

I would assume even being exclusive with a provider would be considering quitting the hobby?  Myself personally I expected it to be a lot more difficult then it's been but so far it's been about a month since I've seen my last provider.  I thought I'd at least wean myself off or something, but, I just haven't been that interested and my priorities have somewhat changed.

Makes it odder that I've received a bunch of out of the blue texts with some rather tempting come back to mommy offers as well as a couple previous sugar relationships trying to rekindle.

Your last comment reminds me of the remarks made in the movie "sex, lies and videotape" regarding wedding rings.

In essence, "(The) best thing about being married (evidenced by a wedding band) is the increased attention from single women."

Good Luck with your new arrangement!

I think it's womens inherent hatred of one another.  Be it a ring or whatever..

Since it's been so long since I've been "clubbing" I forgot just how catty women can be.  Come into a place with a beautiful woman clinging on to you and watch how quick other beautiful women try peeling you away or will strike up a conversation if they see you apart.

If things don't work out between us, I might see if i can use her as my wingman

See a taken guy as a challenge ... Nothing against or for other women but a personal challenge that if they can get a taken guy's attention they are proud ... Feeds their ego.

Another reason goes along with that old saying "all the good men are taken" ... They assume that if a hot girl is with you than you must be an amazing guy and who doesn't want one of those.

In the case of the bars and such, I lean towards the challenge theory ... Just sit back and ENJOY!

Interesting ... I was recently clubbing with an extremely hot young lady. I did notice several random women giving me the "smiling raised eyebrow" ... I thought it was because of my ruggedly handsome good looks. None of them actually tried to separate me from my date ... probably because she was all over me like flies on stink. Or maybe they just thought ... "look at that sweet girl, taking her grandpa out on the town before he dies."      ;-)

Life is good !

Easy Answer:  If a provider or hobbyist acquires a non-treatable sexually transmitted disease (or represents a significant health-risk to other members of the community), they should immediately leave the hobby.

Slow-Down Answer:  If I make a misjudgment in my research (i.e., see a provider with inflated reviews offering poor quality service), I almost always take a significant break from the hobby.

Long-Term Answer:  I hope that I do not quit the hobby. Although all hobbyists have bummer experiences, some of the moments and short-term connections I have experienced in the hobby have been incredible. I am always evaluating ways to enhance my performance (per my standards and expectations).

Not until I find someone that can satisfies me both sexually and mentally/emotionally and I the same for her. I get my sexually needs met through the hobby, along with some great conversations. When I can find that special someone that fulfills my needs she will be at lest as horny as I am. So that means will will need a playmate or two once in awhile.

When/if I find a significant other friends with benefits or whatever you want to call it when I cannot perform any more (boy will that be a sad day LOL :-)) so hobbying could be a long-term or a short-term thing for me so time will tell I guess. But I only know one thing for sure, I'm not going without sex for a long period ever again don't want to don't have to can't make me nuff said!!! LOL :-)

There are lots of possible reasons.  Health (including the possibility of dying to put it bluntly), serious financial setbacks, meeting someone and deciding to pursue a serious relationship with her, a change that makes me conclude the risks of hobbying have grown to great, etc.

plus- you don't know until it happens- and i suspect that if you really quit you might not still be reading TER.

I think its like a lot of things, I'll know its time to quit when that time comes.  If any of several factors mentioned comes into play, those events could lead to "quitting".  Altho, for now, its rock on!  :)

When the hobby becomes too expensive, which it did during the recession. When the sting operations scare the hell out of you like they did back then. Hard to get back on the horse again since all of my reviews are ancient history and none of the providers I saw can give references. It's interesting to see that there is still one hobbyst whose knick I recognize

If the opportunity presented itself to have what has been missing in my life ... and the conditions were favorable ... I would be strongly temped to give up this hobby and try civilian life again.

It seems like a long shot, but I am a romantic man. I hope to find that perfect partner someday.
In the meantime ...

The simple answer is "the day you decide to run off with me."
