I think I know who you are talking about.. he is a friend of mine too and I can confirm that it was indeed a legit story...

I know this is a bit late, but I heard about a sting at the Edgewater hotel downtown a couple of weeks ago. Just a reminder that if anything feels fishy, it probably is and a cancellation fee is better than a felony.

It's my understanding that this is what happened:

The client contacted a provider he hadn't met before. I'm not sure which forum he found her on. She refused to speak to him on the phone (offered to text, but not actually speak) or meet in person before moving behind closed doors. The client canceled the appointment at the last minute, but just before leaving, received an email begging him not to and essentially banking on the fact that he would feel bad if the provider lost the appointment. Sure enough, he felt bad and returned to the hotel room only to be greeted by LE. He was held from Saturday night to Monday night in medium security and has since been to court, but I don't know those details.

I didn't look very hard, but I couldn't find any news articles about it, probably because SPD Vice doesn't want it widely known that they're willing to use high end hotels for stings. This isn't meant to scare anyone, but I just want to make the community aware of it.

This is very valuable information....  And such a shame.

Thanks for the info. Any idea who the provider was? Agency or Independent?

I agree with the "Who" poster above, more details would be appreciated. This post sounds sketchy, not enough details and such. And I have no way to check who you are, Christina. (I do see that your handle derives from a ghost guild - online game, so I know you are a gamer. For whatever that's worth.)

A client would need to have engaged in, or talked specifically about engaging in, an actual sex act. If he was this dumb, I call it Darwinian.

How did you hear about this "sting"?

More info please...

Hey, sorry it's taken so long to reply. I don't pay too close attention to the forum

It was a friend of mine who was arrested. That's how I know it happened, and how.

I didn't have all the details when I posted earlier. I have more now. It was a fake provider on Craigslist which was a pretty big red flag in the first place. He's been a hobbyist for some time so he should have known better. Especially when the young lady confessed to being sixteen. 'She' assured him that it's over the age of consent in WA, so he'd be fine. We all know how that turned out. In any case, his alarm bells were going off but he allowed himself to be emotionally manipulated into showing up, regardless of his instincts. That was the primary reason I wanted to post this.

The ladies here who choose what we do because we love it are in little danger from Seattle Police. No Jury is going to convict an intelligent, well-spoken, attractive, independent woman because we don't fit the stereotype. Our clients are at higher risk and I just wanted to remind us all that there are very few ways to safely see a new provider or client. We are all we have.

Stay safe and have fun, everyone!

Oh, and no, I'm actually not a gamer. I chose my username because I like the juxtaposition of sin and pleasure and I like Latin. There's not much to it.

Thank you all for reading and being careful.
