That's a helpful reality check. Easy enough to get a hotel room nearby. Thanks for replying.

What's the advice on whether to host at your home? I'm alone for the evening tomorrow, south of Boston, and considering a date at my house.

If by alone you mean you live with your wife or girlfriend then I would say you have lost your mind. Women have a sixth sense for knowing when another woman has been in their space. They find things guys would never think of. Like maybe you changed or washed the sheets or they will find a single hair that is the wrong color or length and then Boom you are busted. Then you have the chance of a nosy neighbors or a friend stopping in. Is it really worth it?

I frequently visit guys in their home when their wife/gf is away, and I've never heard of any issues. I've even visited a guy several times when his wife was home and sleeping (she took medication, and it was a big house).

Probably best to avoid providers who drive themselves if you choose to do this. A strange car sitting in the driveway, or even on the street for an hour or more may attract the attention of your neighbors. Find a provider with a discrete driver who knows how to get in and out of the area quickly without attracting attention, and doesn't just hang around. This will minimize the chances of a neighbor noticing anything. This is why some providers will hire a professional driver instead of just having a friend drive them, it's definitely worth the additional cost. Late night or daytime visits are often best to avoid nosey neighbors.

If you have a home office, and generally have people coming by for business anyway, it's even easier.

Thanks for the advice. Had I more time to search for those with drivers and frequent metrowest before tomorrow, I'd do so. I'll likely find a hotel in the area, though, since I'm out of time. Thanks!

I'm available if you're interested. ;)

it is not a good idea to open up your home to someone unless you already know them quite well.

There is just too much risk compared to the cost of a good 3 star motel on Price Line

I agree its crazy and lazy
get a hotel room neighbors are so nosy more than you know.
