Hello,

I was wondering how the secutiry is at the luxor and if they give you any trouble or not at elevators.

Thanks

Sometimes security asks for a room key at the elevators/inclinators, and sometimes they are nowhere in site. I guess it all depends on the  day and time - or both.

The last time I stayed there (March 2003), there was still NO security on the elevators to the rooms in the towers. An added bonus was that the beds and bathrooms were both a little nicer in the Tower room than I've found in most of the Pyramid rooms (other than the Jacuzzi suites).

When I've stayed in the Pyramid (which had security at the "inclinators" long before September 2001 to prevent "joy riders" and lookie-loos), I've usually just met my ladies in the lobby or casino and escorted them up. Another time, my gal just had security call my room to confirm that I was expecting a guest (thy're pretty cool about such things) and they then let her go on up.

Have a great visit to Sin City!

Thanks,

I already have a jacuzzi suite in the pyrmaids. Ive never stayed there before but have not had problems anywhere I'm looking forward to my stay at the Luxor as I always stay in downtown.

Tad,

Enjoy the suite! Most are located in the corners of the pyramid. Just remember, you might have to duck a little if you get out of the rear of the Jacuzzi (because it's next to the sloping window walls). But the great thing is that it's right in the bedroom, not far from the bed. And being able to see the lights of Las Vagas from the tub is a huge plus! :D That is, of course, if you don't steam up the windows. ;-)

A couple other things concerning Luxor, if you meet your provider(s) downstairs, be sure to specify exactly where you plan to get together. There are TWO main "porte-cochere" entrances - on the east side of the pyramid, and another on the notrh side (towers). Also, there's the walkway to the parking garage on the west side (which goes past the pool/spa area) and the south entrance by the nightclub "Ra". Navigating through Luxor can be VERY confusing (even by Vegas mega-resort standards) until you get the "lay of the land", so to speak. However, it's location at the south end of the Strip is great for avoiding much of the infamous LVBS traffic, if you plan on getting a car and doing any driving around town while you're there.

Enjoy your trip!

Roght on..  ask for the tower. it should be no problem..  i like the west tower the best..  greta rooms..  seperate showers and baths..... that`s where i do most of my business is in the west tower,, enjoy man!

dl1231,

Yeah, the separate tub & shower is a great feature. I prepared for my lady's visit by bathing in the tub, which left the shower nice and spotless for her visit. The shower units are very similar to the ones next door at Mandalay Bay, with full-length glass (makes for some great views of your gal - if you're not showering together). Since the Towers were built after the pyramid, it makes sense that the rooms are a little nicer, and with fixtures similar to those at MB, which was the next project they (the same ownership group) did.
