While I have never used a screening service, nor have I ever been with an agency, I will share with you some of what I have experienced.  I have some girl friends in the business and one of them introduced me to her screening process, which she learned from the small agency she had previously been with.  

I understand that if you are very pressed for time, it is rather logical to use a screening service, and that there are many advantages to this.  However, just know that it's definitely doable on your own.  Be absolutely thorough.. get references... get real names... request that new friends use P411 or something similar... and more.  The amount of time I spend screening new friends varies, and yet I assure you it's worth every moment!  

As you know, agreeing to a questionable date is so NOT worth the risk!
