It is ALWAYS good to have a backup plan like an agency just mentioned. I always have a backup plan as these cancellations and NCNS's will always happen. It's the nature of this business. Then you can tell the provider, "Oh, that's okay-I have someone else to see". Then you go on with your head held high and a new session to get excited about.

I had an appointment today at 11:30 from a well known provider (I left out the name). I was screened and confirmed 2 wks ago. I confirmed last night again.  I took time off from work and went to the hotel at the appointed time. I called her number and after several tries she answered.  She stated that her allergies were acting up and the appointment is cancelled.   I told her it would have been nice if she had notified me earlier so that I would not have taken time off from work. She got defensive and strated is that a problem.  At that point I said hope you feel better and hung up.  She could have at least suggested another time to meet. This is very disturbing as she has great reviews.

it's really hard to find people to work with ! I'm not only talking about provider-client relations but even when it comes to finding a doubles partner for us girls etc Reviews or no reviews - you never really know a person till you meet them!
I feel for the girl cause of the allergies - I have them too and when they hit I can't even think !! But it takes 2 seconds to send an email/text saying you can't do it today. There's not much you can do in this type of situation, but if it makes you feel better we have all experienced it at some point of time in one way or another !

Sometimes people lie about why they are really cancelling. Maybe an emergency came up she didn't want to tell you about. I know back in December I had to cancel because of an emergency and told him the exact situation and he blabbed my personal life all over message boards for months. Was sickening and beyond rude.
I'm sorry that happened to you, but sometimes crap happens in life, even to very well reviewed providers. Keep your head up :)

A lot of providers will cancel last minute if mother-nature calls

Benadryl puts me in more of a disoriented coma than anything in the world.

If you really want to see her, I would follow up with her in a couple of days.  That's definitely crummy that you missed work, hopefully it all works out for you next time.

It was unprofessional, but sometimes things do happen.

Allergies my ass. What happened is someone else wanted at tge last minute to bang her at the same time you were scheduled but they wanted a longer date (more $$$). My advice is forget her and see women who don't cancel at the last minute, which is almost as bad as a NCNS. It is unprofessional, plain and simple.

There could be million reasons why she cancelled.

She could have had another client there.

She could have gotten a better offer from a regular.

She could have suspected you were a cop.

She may have known you through work or her social circles.

You may have spooked her somehow.

Consider it a blessing. You don't want to spend your time or money with a woman who doesn't want your time or money.

Just by her comment about not caring you had to take time off of work to go see her, tells me she is not worth seeing.

If you do by chance see her, make sure she offers you some kind of discount or extra time, something you think is fair.
(Don't go thinking you will get a free appointment out of this, never going to happen)

Provider made a big deal about NCNS, which I understand, but  provider have cancellation policies and if they cancel on you they should be held to the same policy as they have.

Time is money and that applies to both provider and hobbyest to

Thanks everyone for you kind comments.  It is nice to have this feedback.  I have taken all the advise and chalked this up to experience and moved on.

Yes, it's not your fault, chalk it up to experience and move on.

I'm also usually dealing with some sort of time constraints when I see a provider -- I don't usually have to get back to work, and I do allow more than enough time, but not an unlimited amount of time on any given day. Once I'm ready for an encounter I'm frankly ready, and I don't want to end up just going home, which has happened a time or two. I now always have  some sort of backup plan. In my case currently I have a couple of agencies I like that have great girls I can see on very short notice. For me it's important to always have one or two of those numbers on hand.

It funny how when ladies cancel on the last minute it's understandable, but when a hobbyist cancels at least a day before he get crucified, smh.  Just my .02, good luck

The "why" doesn't matter, just move on or try again (though you may have burned that bridge in this instance). Not too long ago a well know provider cancelled the day before and gave me a free half hour on the reschedule; class act. A few years ago I arrived at the incall of a provider I'd seen several times and got no response, never tried to see her again. Sometimes they stay on the hook, sometimes they fall off - no reason to give up sport fishing! :-)

Sorry to hear.

I have been stood up 3 times in the last 2 months with very well known and highly reviewed providers.  All with no call or heads up from them.  And all after being verified extensively by them.  I am not very experienced in the hobby as I was trying to start out.  But all it did was sour me on the whole experience.  I still look but I don't think about it as much anymore.

Maybe it's a sign that this isn't for me.  The first one baffled me and I thought why?  After the third, I just think thats how a majority of appointments end up - cancellations from both ends.  I don't hold any beefs, just the way it is I guess.

No worries.

Anyway, be safe all.  Have a great weekend.

Sorry to hear you have to go through that.  I got stood up civvie-style on my first venture in the hobby: She gave me fake directions.  I knew something wasn't right when I found myself in the parking lot of a supermarket, and then she wouldn't pick up her phone.  Then on my second attempt, another provider canceled on me last minute; at least she was decent enough to call before I left home.  I almost threw in the towel and gave up on the idea of hobbying altogether.  But 3's the magic number.  I was able to successfully schedule an appointment, and had my first live meeting with a provider.

I kept going back to providers ever since.  But I came very close to never starting in the first place.
