I would never ask for the victims name, but ...

was it anyone some/most of us might be familiar with (by name)?

What a tragedy, thoughts for the family if any. Sad.

Please be careful out there and gents be patient and considerate when the ladies ask for screening info. It's your choice to say no, too much info requested, etc. You can always go elsewhere, but the ladies need to be safe.

So the next time a lady asks for more, you don't have to like it but you do NEED to UNDERSTAND.

Let's hope that there aren't more tragedies like this to reinforce to need for safety ... for you too.

I kind of doubt that he would have a working key card.  What he would have is knowledge of the various access doors and where they go (dead ends, low traffic service areas, fastest exits), staircases and where they go, which secure doors are actually NOT secure (on purpose for daytime deliveries or due to negligence and poor maintenance - there's a lawsuit for you).  Despite all of that knowledge, they were still caught on hotel and parking lot video cameras.

They plead not guilty at their arraignment

how much money did they possibly get?

who cares about the money

another senseless murder  over money??? fry them I say too bad we dont have the death penalty

I was going to post links to the news stories, but that's not TER-allowed so I've deleted them.

It seems that the earlier robbery victim (in Woburn?) did report it to the police and that the cops were already on the trail of these low-life thugs who are now in custody.  (The get away driver is still on the lam.)

May justice be swift.

The hotel videos captured images of the men entering and leaving the hotel before and after the murder.  Parking lot video captured their car.

Police caught up with them at a Burger King and took the car, which had damage matching the video uniquely.  They were ID'd and released. The other escort who was robbed previously called police after news of the murder and helped police "solve the case"

This case is another sad reminder of the need to screen.

This is why we verify.
The guys need to know that we know who they are.
I always meet in a public place as well, even if it's just the lobby to usher my client up.
Cameras, etc.
Those with evil intent will always go after low hanging fruit.
Separate the men from the boys.

I think its likely that these recent murders will result in a crackdown by authorities on hobbyists who solicit backpage escorts.   In a newspaper article on the Providence murder, it stated that during the months of March and April, police said they netted a total of 35 arrests of men soliciting for sex on backpage.com.
