Many of the independents have assistants, but usually if they're going through an agency the rate is higher due to the agency's cut. If Chloe is booking through the agency at the same price as direct, she must be sacrificing some of her cut, but if that's the case, of course it doesn't make a hell of a lot of difference.
From my understanding Chloe's ATL rates are the same as LA, ($$$) and I was not required to leave a deposit. From what I got out of Chloe during our session, she preferred having an assistant to screened and book because she just didn't have time.
It's not uncommon for providers that tour, to have an assistant and/or agency to book their calls to bypass the BS and whatever else comes's with it.
FYI: If getting screened bypasses the deposit and my wife finding out, then screening it is.
