That's cool I'll pm you

If you know of the best hotel to stay at in Portland  please pm me or shoot me an email  O:-)

The portland harbor hotel is good... Or if u want cheap motel 6 on riverside next to strip joint!! Will u be in town soon

Holiday Inn Express is right next to airport, across street from mall, tons of restaurants and right off highway. The Old Port is about 5-10min ride and down there is where there's a lot of high end boutiques, shops and art galleries. Also the Old Port is a great place if your a foodie or like micro brews and club life. If you want to stay there the Holiday In. Across from civic center would be great. Have fun, stay safe and stay out of the cold!!!!! Hope the new trim worked out well too, hopefully I could break away from work and come check it out!!!!

Thanks codiboy  I am a sous chef in real life so you could say I'm a foodie.  Thanks for the info

Hahahahaha!!!!!! Been in the hobby for a long time now and know that recommending a place here or there doesn't mean a thing. If LE is what your worried about has there eyes everywhere no matter high end or low end places. I give myself and the provider a little credit for being discrete when enjoying our times together. Recommending an area or place to stay doesn't point to or disclose anymore info then advertising when your gonna be in town. Be discrete and there won't be any issues.

You don't publicly post specific hotels, I PM'd Erin with my recommendations for Portland hotels I've frequented and have felt comfortable hosting at.  I have my favorites where I feel comfortable at, many whom I have seen me repeatedly ask " are you at your usual stomping grounds ".  Both parties in that case feel comfortable, we've met multiple times and both parties feel safe and comfortable. I switch it up sometimes too.

There is no need to draw attention to any particular hotel in a particular city, that's what PM and email are for.  Molly was simply saying there is a more discrete way to recommend a specific hotel, which is why I gave my recommendations behind the scene...where they belong.  On many regional boards, i.e. Boston, it would have been blasted right away.

It doesn't always have to be a LE fear, how about a visiting lady posts when she's going to be town and people see specific hotel recommendations posted and they suddenly might decide to troll those hotels. Or other, probably more likely local, doing the same thing.  Goes along with same premise why many of us don't post our faces.

It's just common sense, don't draw attention when it's not necessary.
