If you have a good reputation and esablis that you an excellent service, and you find that you have more requests for appointments then you have time to provide in a week, then it's time to raise your rates!

I always tell my clients who are trying to write a review for the first time that first reviews are often rejected by TER, and if that happens to them then they should add details and resubmit it until it is finally excepted.

I can understand why you wouldn't really want reviews.  It sucks when somebody writes a review that's not very flattering.   It's embarrassing and it hurts. But reviews are here to stay. Reviews and references have revolutionized this hobby.  Because of reviews and references we have the ability to keep ourselves safe and informed.

Good luck OP

Most of the clients that I have had do not post reviews, I actually prefer it that way.  I don't want to be a "famous" provider, and am not looking to be super popular, due to my busy schedule I choose not to take on a ton of clients.  I see it as a good thing if someone still chooses to see me although I only have one review, I blow their mind, and then they want to see me again.  I've been told most people that meet me don't want to share me so they don't write reviews.  Although I don't complain about not having a ton of reviews, I feel that only having one review kind of limits me on here.

Are there any other providers that have met people like this?  Do you prefer having a lot of reviews or meeting with people that have a lot of references?

Guys out there.... How important are reviews to you?  Have you ever been dissatisfied with a provider that had a ton of reviews?  What makes you take a risk on gals with only a few reviews?

It's like a double edged sword to me.

One of my worst experiences was with a highly reviewed and rated provider who had multiple pages of 10 star reviews on here, while some of my best have been from providers with no reviews at all contacted via craigslist, etc. The woman I've been consistently seeing for 14 months now is the latter. That being said, reviews definitely help, particularly in ruling out those ho definitely won't do what I like--bbbjcim.

I use reviews to not only make sure the provider is legit but also to get an idea what my expectations should be. Just because a provider has good reviews doesn't mean the two of us will click. With the considerable investment of time and money any information a consumer can have before making a decision is helpful. The reviewers body of work is something I consider as well.

without having some means of verifying him and/or checking references. Obviously, to ensure safety and compatibility.

It is the same for the guys. We need to have some confidence in terms of safety and compatibility. Reviews are the simplest, easiest and most accessible way to accomplish that for us. TER is the biggie review site, but many (most?) of us can find some type of "review" or feedback on other sites. "Backchanneling" sometimes gets a bad rap, but a reference from another guy we trust can substitute for reviews and open the door to meet. A recommendation from a provider I already know can also be a source for me to get comfortable contacting you.

In all honesty, a history of reviews is (I believe) what we most rely upon. A single recent (4-6 mos?) review from a guy I know is legit along with a complete profile page is probably fine with me. A review every 6 months or so, including one or two from known reviewers is a bit better. I don't need to see several reviews every month for years to find out what I need to know - I know that some do, and I'm not sure why.

FWIW, there is just as much concern and diversity of thought about reviews among guys. Some guys review every date. Some review not at all. Some review but do it under alias or a "review handle".  There is even a thread a bit further down about this!

In the end, I think we all just try to use the reviews to present ourselves in our own unique way, in the way we'd prefer to be seen by others. I know that in my own business, I pay much more attention to what I want and the way I want to present my business than to anything my competitors do... and it works for me.

PS: I looked at your review and profile. If I could suggest anything, it would be to update your profile page and provide links to your ads, website, etc.. so we have some way to SEE you. Another more recent review than 10/14 would probably also be a good thing for most guys. Just MHO.

While I'm not new to this I am new to TER. I'd actually prefer if more of my clients left me reviews right now just because I know some guys will be hesitant to see anyone with no/one review. So IMO bring on all the reviews so everyone can see how much fun I am! ;-)

Women with no reviews at all are at a huge disadvantage where it comes to getting TER members to book with them. Most of us like to know at the minimum that some one else can vouch for the fact that they didn't get killed, robbed or arrested when seeing her, the same concerns you ladies have.

Now "some" guys want to be able to thoroughly vett  a lady and learn as much as possible before booking with her, these are typically guys who get as much fun from the "hunt" as they do from the actual session, and are typically guys who don't get to see a lot of ladies, so each session is important to them.

Speaking for myself, I want to know just a few things before booking, Are the pictures real and accurate, what activities are on/off the menu, DFK, BBBJ etc, and maybe just an overall sense about her attitude. I do NOT read every review of a lady, nor do I pore over every detail. I simply make sure she meets certain minimum standards for performance and make sure that what I see is what I get, I also do NOT take the word of other guys where it comes to appearance, high scores in that regard mean NOTHING, ZERO, ZILCH to me, as it's been proven over and over that many guys here have no standards, so a string of nothing but tens in appearance mean nothing to me. I will confess, a lot of "sub 8" scores for appearance will likely scare me off. You almost have to have a hump growing out of your back to score less than a 7 and the minimum most guys will give even to an average looking woman seems to be an 8

The clients I have had don't want to write reviews, I am thinking of making a simple site with a few discrete photos along with everything else that a potential person of interest may want to know.  I'll keep you all updated, because after I finish it, I would LOVE your opinions and thoughts!

and you do seem to be doing fine keeping a balance between being an "attention whore" and "wall flower"

Don't worry, you are doing fine, some things just take a little time is all. The Chicago guys who review will ultimately take notice of you and once you get the first couple of reviews, the rest will follow.

and yes, asking the opinion of the board when you get your site done is a great idea. Just remember to accept the compliments with grace, the construction criticism with an open mind, and the inevitable negative comments without being too defensive, and you will be sure to endear yourself to the community.

Thank you for the wonderful words of encouragement!

I just started with a simple tumblr page for pictures, information etc. it super simple to set up, manage and free.

The biggest one I usually here if reviews ever come up is that it is so hard to have a review approved.  This submission didn't have enough details, this one didn't have this or that.  When a review gets kicked back a time or 2 some get frustrated and give up, not just on that review but future ones as well.

Of course there are others that choose not to share what happens with them between the sheets with anyone

From a provider prospective, I don't take a reference from any lady with under 10 reviews unless I know the person who reviewed her.  I also check to make sure she has a board presence as well.  Without those 2 things I am not confident that the provider is legit, and will unfortunately have to turn down that reference for safety sake.

Good luck...

You are fairly wrong as there are many gals with no reviews policies that are as legit as those with reviews

Ok, I said from a provider prespective and well mine.  If I have never heard of a girl, she doesn't post or have reviews then I am not taking a chance on getting a reference from her.  I am not saying those ladies might not be reputable to the guys via their BC communication.  But I am not going to take a guy I do not know at all word that she is reputable if I have not input about her.

So to correct my statement.

TO ME: if a lady doesn't have at least 10reviews and a web presence I am not going to bother contacting her.  It is my prerogative to contact only those I might trust and determine in my mind what makes a provider reputable to me.

I'm sure there are exceptions to the rule, but a lot of times ladies who don't have many reviews are too new to have accurate records of who they have seen.

When I asked them for a reference I'll get something like,  "oh, yeah, I think I saw a John somebody about a month ago. Yes he safe to see"! It doesn't inspire a lot of confidence. I don't want to receive a reference from somebody who's going by memory only. I want them to know for sure because of the phone number or email address that they have seen this person before.  When I think about the references that I gave during my first year...I don't think I was as competent as I am now, to say the least.

I will except a reference from a lady who has minimal reviews, but I will want a second reference, too.

Reviews ensure that the provider is legit and provides a reasonable idea about looks and performance.  That said, YMMV.

So I made a little site, with some photos and stuff on it, I will update it later when I have time to!  But let me know what you think!

You should now link your reviews to your new site. It will make it so much easier for people who check  you out due to your board participation to be led to your site with all of your pics and rate information.

Some people like a lot of bells and whistles where it comes to a web sit, personally I like simple and your site does the important thing. It shows your rates, what you look like and just a brief idea of what your personality is like. Good job IMO

Thank you! I am waiting for them to change it now!

And, that's probably the third thing potential clients want:

1.  Looks
2.  Rates
3.  Reviews

You're very pretty and your rates seem good.  Now you just need a few more reviews!  That was a smart idea to mention a special treat for writing a review.

Very nice.  Has all the info I'm looking for and the pictures give a good clean representation of how you look.  I'm sure your dance card will be filling up soon.

Only suggestion I'd put if you are looking to get reviewers to post is to offer some sort of discount to TER members.  $50 or something small...You'd be surprised the minimal amount of incentive it takes to sway us from one provider to another.  As another provider said elsewhere in this post, (paraphrasing) "your reviews go up, traffic goes up, time to raise the rates" (or retract the incentive in this case).

SMEGMA!

I added that incentive as well as some more details!

I'll be honest with you; a $500 rate (even with discount) is way more than I'd risk on a provider with only one review, especially as I can't tell if you provide what I enjoy.

Sorry to bring up the "rate" issue, for which I will surely be pilloried.  Hence my use of an alias.  A lady is free to charge whatever she likes.  But if customers can get what they want for a lot less money, and from a known provider, that's where they will likely go. That's what I do.

But I think she did lower her rates on the website to 350 an hour and 500 for 90 minutes.

That sounds like a good place to start.

You can scroll to the bottom of any page and click on "contact us" to contact TER And Ask them to change your rates to what your current rates are. You can always contact them to change anything on your profile that is no longer up-to-date. For example if you decide you want to do anal, if people don't know that you are really bi, or you have a birthday that puts you into a different age range, you can contact TER and ask them to update your profile.

By the way, it's been said on the boards before that approximately 10% of clients write reviews.  And according to my records it might be slightly less than that but that's pretty close. So it will take some time.

When I first started I reached out to a lady for help because I saw her ads around a lot and she was older. She was 57 years old and I was older.  She recommended that I get professional photos done and that I offer a big discount to anybody who would write me a TER review.  I did both of those things. I offered a really big discount to anyone who would write me a TER review for an entire week. I think I offered 50% off and I gave them the discount ahead of time in good faith.   Pretty soon I had five reviews and the rest is history.

And one more bit of advice I would like to offer you is to always be your best with each client. I wish I could go back and take some of those first reviews off of there. I didn't know how to maximize my assets or how to spend an hour with a man.  It took a while to figure that stuff out.  You are in a position to start with excellent reviews and keep them excellent.  My advice to you would be to always look your best with your hair done and your make up well applied and on the glamorous side.  Always be completely clean and fresh for every client. I leave a free hour between my appointments so there's plenty of time for me to shower, clean the room, and touch up my make up.  I got ideas for hair and make up from watching YouTube videos.  Always wear a cute adult outfit and heels or boots, and most guys like thigh high stockings.  Always put your heart into your sessions!  Don't let him come to soon.  I want my client to enjoy every minute he's paid for.  Treat every client as if he Will be writing you a review because you certainly will not always know who the TER guys are.

I hope you can accept this unasked for advice in the spirit it was given...I learned from my MISTAKES.  Maybe you can learn from my mistakes instead of making them yourself while figuring everything out.  I'm not trying to tell you what to do, I'm just telling you that looking back I wish I would've known these things from the beginning because I feel like not knowing caused me to get lower reviews in the beginning.

Good luck, sweetie.

I'd guess it's a typo, but:
"When I first started I reached out to a lady for help because I saw her ads around a lot and she was older. She was 57 years old and I was older. "

If you are now then about 65-70 years old, Daaaaaaam you hold up good.

SMEGMA!!

I couldn't get into the session, and if I get a bad review because of it, I don't give a shit. I've seen well over 20+ people for two years so I know reviews can kiss my ass. Men have no clue what we see.... you think Im going to get sloppy with a BJ on a 2 inch dick, yeah right! I use to know this one provider who loved her reviews so much she wouldn't shut the fuck up about it, as if its a metal that you get from a man

I think after 5 reviews, they should throw out the best and worst reviews at 20 the two best and worst to get the average. Nobody can connect with everyone.

A provider with NO reviews is equal to a hobbiest with no references/screening.  Sure you might be fine, but who wants to take the chance?  If I'm seeing someone I've never heard of or going to a new town so have no knowledge of the talent there, I'm looking for 4 or 5 reviews at least and one of those should be within the last few months (say 3 or 4).  That doesn't mean you need to have 10/10 on all (reviews are subjective and can be faked after all) and you don't need one from yesterday or a history of 100 +.  I'm looking for things like are the pictures a fair representation of you, is your location (assuming incall) safe and well kept up, do you keep to the set time pretty well and are you providing what was agreed upon or implied in your AD/Webpage?  Fine details are less important, although always interesting to hear.  If I were looking for a particular fetish I'd be more inclined to be a stickler for details, but mostly I want to know that I'll get what was promised when we set up the date.  I'd like to think that a lot of how the session will go depends on me (or my pervert bretheren), but if you NCNS or are 4 foot 300 lbs when you advertise as leggy cheerleader type, the session will not be pleasant for either of us.

My 3 cents....keep the change.
SMEGMA!!

A crucial factor on finding a provider or even accepting a client... Recently had a newbie texting me the same question over & over again when I answered the question on the first text... VERIFICATION IS A MUST.... REFERENCES ARE A MUST...  They proceeded to ask 5x or more: what do you need to verify me...   It's NOT rocket science... Most providers have all the requirements are listed on their websites... I am not newbie friendly due to BAD MANNERISMS I've experienced by newbies... But I have made exceptions because there are those newbies whom understand the BASIC MANNERS & ETIQUETTES OF HOBBYING..... but reviews are important for me in basing if I'm going to see that client or not, I think chemistry is very IMPORTANT in my sessions... I want those hobbyist who's visited me to walk away feeling like they are on CLOUD 200 or more!!!

HAPPY 4th of July weekend CHICAGO!!!!

don't leave reviews. Some want to be discreet & some don't want to have their personal preference & fetish out there for everyone.

I am open to more reviews & think they help with business but am not hung up on them

I feel the same way, but I'm not sure if thats good or bad lol

I agree with a lot of what GaGambler says (which worries me a little, lol, but whatever). I would not see a lady with zero reviews (either here or on another reputable site). I am not up for TOFTT and want at least a handful of guys vouching that she's not BSC, ~ what is on the menu, etc. I'll usually read 4-6 reviews max, usually check highest and lowest (and check the range of scores the reviewer usually gives). Also agree that lots of appearance scores below 7 is a red flag. Just trying to keep risk a little down.
