That is what I have said too!

The best thing that could happen to Vegas is to break up Caesars and get some competition back the market.
Although I am MGM guy myself, same goes for them.
You basically have two companies running Las Vegas today and that is not good for Vegas and somebody in power with balls needs to realize that and take action.
NOT Going TO HAPPEN!!! Unless bankruptcy court makes it happen.

Wow, free local calls! Who doesn't have a cell phone? Now my $35 room with tax and resort fees at Bally's costs $100. That's why I like in calls. I have an extra $100 to spend more time with my companion.

Why don't the hotels just put the resort fees into the room rates. The you would know if you were really getting a break with their promotion. Added resort fees make the guest feel that they are getting ripped-off.

That is what I have said too!

On top of the resort fee

Ouch

I usually travel to Vegas with friends who are there on business.   They get their strip hotel suites either comped or they write them off.  So when I'm in town while they are there, I stay on the strip. But to be honest.  The roaming/people watching has gotten a bit old for me...

SO  on the nights either before they arrive or after they leave, I have found off strip hotels to be a much better value and just as much fun for the hobby.  I have been a big Palms Place fan (free parking, easy access and really cool rooms) but their resort fees are climbing too.  I am probably going to (after checking to make sure my appointments are cool with it) the Orleans, or some of the other off strip hotels....  I love a nice room to plaly in, but I am providing for my own "amenities" so I hate paying the bucks to the hotel when I can share them with the ladies....

the Embassy Suites on Paradise Road near the convention Center or the Embassy Suites near UNLV.  Both offer free internet, free breakfast, free parking and a free shuttle which runs at the bottom ofevery hour to the Strip.
