Reviews are a two-edged sword

If I look at reviews at all it's primarily to find out whether someone has enough reviews that they're probably legit, and whether there's a general consensus among reviews about whether the experience of spending time with that person is closer to an 8 or 9 than to a 5.  It's also interesting to look at the distribution of those numbers, since widely varying numbers can mean either a flighty person, or someone who's quirky enough not to be quite to everyone's taste.  Some of the most interesting people I know fall into that second category.

I almost never read details of reviews because I think they can cheat both the reader and the person being reviewed out of a good time.

If every review includes the same formula -- first we did A, then we did B, then we did C -- and you know exactly what to expect before you even walk into the room, then you're robbing yourself of the excitement that goes along with discovery of the new.  I'd much rather be pleasantly surprised, myself.  On the other hand, if you read a bunch of reviews and form expectations about specific activities based on them, then the time doesn't go exactly as you expect (or hope) based on those reviews, then you may end up setting yourself up for disappointment instead of making the most of whatever does happen.

So the bottom line for me is that the number, frequency, and longevity of reviews can be helpful in figuring out who is legitimate and who may not be.  The consensus numbers can give you some sense of what kind of personality you may find yourself dealing with.  And the details are best left un-read.  Just my $0.02, and as always YMMV

It happened.. I finally got a fake review! Therefore this prompted me to ask a series of questions to everyone.

1- Do you read more than one review to ensure you understand the full outline of what your time will include?

2- Do you look at the reviewers history to see if they have reviewed ladies from the area before?

3- Do you ever make a determination on the lady based upon only one review?

Just was wondering your thoughts...

Kristin

I personally never base my decision on just one review.  I do check to see how many reviews the individual has posted and it's very rare that I do not know what my session will include.  Don't worry about one Hon..GL

I may check the reviewer if I'm vip but I usually go by info shared in General Details as I don't hobby enough to pay to read the juicy details.
Got enough of that in Penthouse as a young man ...

There is a group of 10 or so gents whose reviews I check
for guidance. The consistency of their reviews speaks to me lol

Kristin -
Always read more than one review.  One is never a good sample size.
Do not usually look at the reviewers history, but I have done that once or twice
never make a decision based on one good or one bad review.

I look at the top 100.  I use the search to search for things that are important to me (GFE things).  And then I look at review history.

BTW - had a great time when I saw you!

As a newbie I read the 2 or 3 most recent reviews. If I notice one really bad one I will give that a cursory glance as well.

Why would anyone post a fake review? To get free VIP time? /boggl

The review in question is from a person I never saw, and according to their review history isn't even in New England. On top of that, anyone that knows me, knows without a doubt that I am not remotely into anything evenly lightly related to spanking, or slapping.

I do get worried that people will get the wrong impression and think that I am more open to roughness than I am, and I do take great pride in being as up front and direct with everyone, all of my ads, my website, that I am pretty low key and the true epitome of GFE. Nothing wrong with anything else, just not what I am into.

Thanks for your input and thoughts. Just kind of upset me a little since I only log in rarely when I am home.

Guess it does come with the territory. Lets see if TER will actually believe me and remove??

1- Do you read more than one review to ensure you understand the full outline of what your time will include?  Yes

2- Do you look at the reviewers history to see if they have reviewed ladies from the area before?  Yes and especially if they have meet providers that I know.

3- Do you ever make a determination on the lady based upon only one review? Only if there seems to be an issue that could be a problem and from a well known reviewer.

I am like the Olympics in ice skating.  I throw out the top and bottom reviews in general and try to understand recent remaining reviews.

1. Yes. I will at least peruse a bunch of them.

2. Absolutely. When a provider has a series of reviews from a person with one review that is a red flag for me. Also when a provider gets a review that is out of ordinary in terms of rating, I will generally throw it away.

3. No. Unless she has only one review from an established reviewer.

I use reviews for two reason. One - to ensure the provider isn't a fake in any capacity. Two - to get a sense of the experience.

I have been challenged (only for a bad review)and TER does a good job looking into fake reviews and you need the support to verify  the visit. But at least in this case he gave you a 10/8 instead of a 4/4.lol

1) yes
If I have time I read many of the newest reviews. You can get a sense of what is fake. If it is too generic or if out of line with what everyone else said. Just like Olympic judging I tend to ignore the 10/10 or 5/5 unless that is what most of the reviews show. You always get a few kiss asses/disgruntled reviewers

2)yes
especially a new lady. If I look at the 5 reviews she has and they are all written in 1 month and none of the guys has written any other reviews I keep on searching

3)Never
If I do all the above and she still checks out then I will contact her. Again for reasons above just one review isn't enough to go on

I go by the full body of reviews, but also look at the reviewers that gave statistical anomalies.  In your case it could be a misinterpretation.  If it is your most current review you got a 10-8 which is pretty darn good.  In what he wrote in that line about slapping that A$$, as a potential hobbyist I would chalk that up to the departed David Letterman's but that's not all embellishment.
