irBNB is great when traveling with other ladies can share a 2-3 br apt and still have own room and bath and share living room and kitchen for entertaining  mostly if your staying multiple days. Since your coming for SinCitySoiree share a place

So I am new to the AirBnB thing but for an upcoming stay the rates are somewhat competitive to what hotels downtown are charging, and a few of my East Coast Friends who tour regularly swear by using them (no security, assigned parking spot, your own kitchen, etc).

I guess my question is would you consider seeing someone staying in a more residential part of downtown or in an apartment vs a hotel or is meeting someone in a hotel more comfortable?

and most clients prefer it that way. I hate having to use hotels when I travel, so like you I have looked into renting condos but I do not always rely on the one you posted. Far too many providers are starting to use the service and the heat is going to eventually be on. There are many private companies for condo and apartment rentals that are much more efficient and discreet, but I don't think you will find too many gents complaining about a two bedroom place with a balcony compared to some 2 room suite where they are seen by a million people going in and out. It is very rare a guy will run into someone he knows at a private condo, but a hotel? A downtown hotel where meetings are in abundance.... you betcha. Just be sure to research what you're renting before going in. Many of these places have gates which require you to let a guy in each time... not exactly discreet and a total PITA.

I agree, walking into a downtown hotel can be nerve wracking.  Being from Chicago you meet a lot of people through out your life and you never know who is going to be walking around the Gold Coast or the Loop and see you.  You always have to have a story in your head why you were down there in case you are spotted and it gets back to your significant other.  I think a private residence off of the main drags would ease the clients fears a bit, I know I try to avoid the City as much as possible, the burb hotels are much better to stay anonymous I feel simply because they are full of travelers who want to stay close to the airport, I feel my chances of seeing an acquaintance there are significantly less.

But it sounds like a temporary residential rental which as noted has been around quite a while.  From what London is saying it sounds like a great alternative, many people recognize my weasel-like face even when I don't recognize them.  I also tend to listen to intelligent people with experience, so OP I think you have your answer.

Prefer the air bnb places since hotel parking/security is a real pain downtown.

We used Airbnb for about nine months of our year around the world. Fun places to stay usually in great neighborhoods for bars entertainment etc.

However governments are cracking down, mainly over loss of tax money. In Chicago rental buildings have lease clauses that forbid short term rentals. Property management companies spend time looking at Airbnb ads to see if their buildings are listed.

My condo building forbids short term rentals, but like everything else if you, and your clients, are discrete no one would know.

Most Airbnb landlords would not want prostitution, or other illegal acts, going on in their homes. I'm sure that is a violation of the terms and conditions of the site

I prefer an incall in a non hotel situation. So getting an apartment would make me more comfortable.

When I travel hotels are hard to avoid. I am interested in learning this option that London is talking about.

Let me just state this, and others can take it as it is...

If you are seeing more than one guy a day, do NOT ever rent an apartment or condo from a private owner. If you are seeing two plus guys a day, hotels are always going to be your best bet. I once rented this awesome B and B, but I literally got in on a Thur. night and saw no one, saw one for 4 hours on Friday, and one for 3 hours the morning of check out on Sat. Even that seemed like a lot being the owners are there all the time making sure your every need is met. I always wear a wedding ring too, so they just think I am a slut not a hooker ha ha ha.

Private owners can have cameras in common areas to protect their property, so beware of that too. I wired my condo like a prison when I hired my first nanny a few weeks ago lol. I would imagine many private owners do the same except for the bedrooms and bathrooms. Having sex with a ton of guys is no problem, but if a camera catches that cash drop you are pretty much fked.

I'm planning a trip to NY and wondering about all this.

I have done incalls out of airbnb's before with no problems, I would stay for 4-5 days and see 1-3 people a day, usually somewhat spaced out.

I'm figuring out where to stay for my next trip and getting a little more worried because my airbnb account got shut down unexpecedtly about a month ago. I did have various issues, 1 airbnb charged me for smoking weed in their apartment, another I did a photoshoot in, got upset because I think she realized I was doing that and I scratched her floor(and paid for it) so there's a variety of things i could have gotten kicked off for that weren't just escortting but it's also possible someone, somehow?? realized I was after the fact and never said anything to me about it?

So now I am booking in my boyfriends name and just making sure to find a place where the person is most likely going to be out of town when we pick up keys are there/make they sure are cool mostly dealing with his 'girlfriend' bc he will be busy in meetings.

He knows the risks and he's not that concerned about his airbnb, I mostly want to make sure I'm actually able to use the space for what I need.

I totally feel you on low volume, what if I were to do a thing of booking a place for say 6 days and doing 1 incall and then outcalls the rest of the day? I would still have 6 incall appointments available which seems like plenty.

I looked into hotels but I'm generally low volume anyway, like I probably can't see more than 2 or 3 guys in a day anyway, and I don't get hit up that much so getting a super expensive NY hotel seems like a waste of money.

Thanks!

I would say personally no to Air BnB for incalls only because you are in someone elses home, sometimes the one they actually live in.  While the idea is more comforting it also exposes you and the leaser to potential issues.  Here are a couple of why I think it is unfair to the person leasing it out:

You get a stalker, and after you leave they show up unannounced looking for(insert hooker name) and demanding services.  These things have happened, anyone with a set incall has stories about guys just showing up at a later time me included.

Something happens and now the provider gets busted at that space.  Now the owners know someone has been hooking in their beds and space, not to mention they had no knowledge of it but still could be brought up on charges for running a house(felony).  They have to prove they had no idea what you were doing there.

I also then think, if this were my rental property would I want a lady in it that were using it for the industry?  If that is the reason I bought it as London has done with a couple places down south that she rents out to other ladies then sure.  But if this is a vacation rental where couples and families regularly stay then absolutely not.  That is not something EVER to have going on where children have been or could be at sometime in the future.  There is just too much that could go wrong.

So, to AirBnB I say out of common courtesy don't use them for the industry.  It isn't fair to the owners or renters.  I know I would not want to rent a property for my family to stay in that had had a provider working from it!  NO WAY!

Hotels of apts of providers I feel are the only real options but then that is just my personal opinion
